We are excited to host two full days devoted to COLOR!!
Color Class: Learn the basics of color theory for expert quilting; class
in-
cludes handouts on the color spectrum, value scales, color properties and the emotion of color. We will work with tints, shades and tones and perfect the art of color coordination. Once you understand the mastery of color harmonies you will get a map and tips for color organization of your fabric stash - with the ability to expertly put kits together from your own fabric! After 2 hour color class - we spend the rest of the time sewing the gorgeous 29 shade Bali Color Quilt! Friday August 12th 9am - 4pm
only $32 includes:
Hands on class practicing color theory as described above. Full color handouts.
Lunch
Complete instruction and full sized pattern to complete quilt “When Bali met Socchi”
Dye Class: Learn to make your own batik fabric!!! You will learn color wheel basics, dye basics, immersion technique, ice dye, slurry, resist and fabric painting. You will leave with a full color wheel of hand dyed fabrics and the tools/knowledge to recreate masterful pieces at home. Appropriate for a simple color beginner to the confident advanced. Fun for all!! While your pieces are dying - you’ll want to start the stunning “Bitmap Quilt!” A complete color wheel lesson! Saturday August 13th

Bitmap Quilt pattern and instruction to complete quilt
We have an optional onsite retreat for those of you that want to make an uninterrupted weekend of it and take advantage of both classes! Take this opportunity to arrive one day earlier, enjoy both days of instruction and stay one extra night to attend an exclusive Soap Lake Art show at “Fire on Main”. Stay up sewing on your gorgeous quilts until late, with a nice healthy dinner prepared for you - and breakfast every morning! Retreat : Thursday - Sunday August 11th - 14th only $179 includes:
Color class and Dye class with evening pattern instruction and sewing.
All meals
Comfortable bed with all linens, including bath towels and lake towels.
All household amenities
Optional massage therapy appointment Saturday night
Pattern and dye gift packet
