Bob Viscount (approved Aug. 2017) Kent Brown Donations for the Toy Project INTERIn past years, some members have not been able to work on the Toy ProNATIONAL ject or, previously, to collect on Peanut Days. At the time of those PeaWil Stutheit nut Days, it was suggested that members donate $100 in lieu of working a two-hour shift. This suggestion carried over to the Toy Project because INTERCLUBS members wanted to help but were not able to participate. Some donated Bill Ferguson more, some less, and some not at all. That was fine. As we continue the Byrd Curtis Toy Project into the new year, you may want to donate either to the Kiwanis Club of Poudre Golden K for the service budget for the Toy ProTOY PROject or, for a tax-deductible donation, to the Community Foundation of JECT FUND Northern Colorado for the Toy Project. Please give any donations to eiRAISING ther Harold Boyer or Henry Bauer so that they may keep records for the Lloyd Wilson Toy Project.

News on the Wooden Toys for Kids project: Dave reports that the toy project work crews have been doing a great job in the final phases of this year's toy project. As of August 24, 300 toys are assembled and ready for their mineral oil finish, with the remaining 250 toys in final assembly. Distribution will occur in October, November and December. We have good news on our donations. Andy Moore with RBC Wealth Management has contributed $500 to the project in each of the past two years. In addition to his donations, he recently helped us to secure a matching grant from RBC for an additional $500 for the 2017 project, bringing RBC's total contribution for 2017 to $1,000! Dave asks that each PGK Kiwanian come up with a few names of individuals and businesses that we can contact for 2018 toy project donations. Likely candidates are businesses that provide you with services including accounting/tax firms, insurance agents, Realtors, law firms, building contractors, previous employers, etc. Please let Lloyd Wilson or Dave know if you have any candidates and they will work with you to organize and approach for each. Remember: toy project donors benefit our community in 2 ways: kids receive a handcrafted wooden toy they can enjoy for countless hours; and about 95% of the donation is used to provide financial support to organizations that help kids in our community. It is wonderful win-win for kids! MURPHY'S OTHER 15 LAWS 1. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear
