Andover Chamber Announces Hometown Hero Award
Many of us know someone who goes above and beyond to make other people and the Andover community better. The Andover Chamber of Commerce wants to honor a Hometown Hero and they need your help in telling them who they are. Nominees can be community volunteers, fireman/woman, policeman/woman, educators, first responders - anyone who you feel has gone that extra mile to make Andover a great place to live, work and play. This award will be presented during halftime of the AHS vs ACHS football game on Sept. 11. Kansas Medical Center is also sponsoring souvenir footballs for each of the teams’ cheerleaders to give out during the game. Andover Hometown Hero Nomination Form * * The form is a fillable PDF. Deadline to submit your nomination(s) is August 21.

Online Enrollment Update
Over the last 2 weeks, parents have been eagerly enrolling for the 2015-16 school year with the new PowerSchool registration plug-in, E-Registration. As of today, we have just over 72 percent of our students enrolled for the 2015-16 school year. We are also pleased with the numerous positive feedback responses we’ve received from parents on how the new process is extremely simple and easy for them to update their student’s information. Thank you to all the staff involved for your work and effort in making this positive transition possible! Online enrollment is still available to complete, so encourage your friends, family and neighbors to complete the process by logging into PowerSchool and clicking on E-Registration!
