SUE CORNELIUS EDSON, Syracuse
CAROLE GRILLS, Smith
Edson, a former ECACSIDA president, has enjoyed a remarkable 17year tenure at Syracuse University. She has held the role of Director the last 10 years after serving seven years as assistant director and a four-year stint as publications coordinator. In addition to hosting multiple championships on regional and national levels, Edson is also an adjunct professor at SU where she teaches a class on sports public relations. Edson served on the ECAC-SIDA Executive Board in numerous capacities for nine years, including a year as president in 2002-03.
Grills has been a staple in the Smith College sports information office for 25 years, an accomplishment few women in the profession can claim. She was instrumental in the development of the New England Women’s 6 Conference, a league which has since expanded into the NEWMAC, and has since served as the official historian for the conference. Grills has received numerous CoSIDA awards for her various publications and has served as host for various conference, regional and national championships.
