AYSO REGION 512 BOARD MEETING AYSO Meeting Minutes November 9, 2016 Meeting was called to order at 6:05pm. PRESENT: Ayunna Dompreh Tasha Strauss Loe’l Murphy Brittany Barlow Angela Tyler Chris Hall Amber Niedlzielski Discussed offering incentive program for volunteer activities, such as a potential discount based on points. TREASURER REPORT: Ayunna provided an updated cash flow report. Discussed upcoming expenses. REGISTRAR REPORT: Current registrar Jennifer is resigning when the fall season is completed. Replacement registrar needed or another position to coordinate uniforms, spring pictures , ordering field supplies, etc. Amber will speak with Tonya about getting involved. COACH ADMIN REPORT: The coach’s appreciation dinner will be held on November 17, 2016. Chris will be organizing the dinner. During the coach’s appreciation dinner. Emphasize the six AYSO philosophies. Conflict resolution. Remind everyone that parents are to stay off the field. Board to send out an email blast regarding child safety. Losing U-8 coach Amy- will look at this in the spring. Discussed asking the Montrose region for $100 reimbursement for not showing up for the U-10 game. FIELDS AND SAFETY REPORT: Too cold to seed the fields; reconsider in the spring. Scheduled date of 11-12-16 to take down the nets. There will be two groups, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Groups to stake and twine in the middle of the paint line. REFERREE REPORT: In need of older kids to ref U-8 games. Amber, Loe’l, Mike, Ryan, Mueller are not certified refs, but can still help out. Discussed referee incentive ideas; consider for coaches also. CVPA REPORT: There are board members and assistant coaches that still need required trainings.
AYSO REGION 512 BOARD MEETING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT: Board members need to confirm their attendance for the conference February 17-19. Amber also reported that she has received the playground kit. Intermediate, Club play AYSO and Playground soccer to begin in the spring. 3v3 tournament in the summer of 2017- Ryan Area tournament to be held in Linden at Deer run. Board shirts are ordered and coming soon. Dave proposed that each region pay $1 per kid to go towards training cost for the tournament. Tasha inquired about the limitation s of this recommendation such as the money running out. Amber to follow up and obtain more information. Super camp will be held in March, Region 512 asked to organize food and signing in. ROUNDTABLE: Discussed registration dates, uniforms will be ordered in January. AYSO received some money through the Morrish fundraiser as they were a reference. Discussed the need to get handicap accessible port-a-johns.
