B0098 – Time to Process Separations Metrics This is a report to identify the timeliness of separation actions by Agencies. The report provides action counts by the following buckets: Processed on Time 1 - 29 Days Retro 30 - 59 Days Retro >59 Days Retro Total Transactions Scorecard colors are based on the following criteria: 1 - 29 Days Retro: No color applied to this column (Implied Green) 30 - 59 Days Retro: All cells in this column are Orange if values are > 0 >59 Days Retro: All cells in this column are Red if values are > 0
1. Access the BEACON Portal. 2. Click on the Reports Tab.

6. Enter an Org Unit Hierarchy and a Changed On Date by clicking on the icon. NOTE: The changed on date reflects the actual date that the change was made, not the date the change became effective. While you can choose a single date, generally you may find it more helpful to use a range of dates. For example to view the Time to Process statistics for all changes that were made in the 1st quarter of 2009 your selection would be 1/1/2009 – 3/31/2009. If you want to view the statistics for all changes that have ever occurred for your organization you would enter the less than sign with today’s date, for example Filter->Select Filter Value.
9. Select the key figures highlighted above and then click “Add”.

10. Then click “OK”. The report should now show the additional key figure.

Agency Metrics Job Aid for B0098 11. To validate the numbers from above, drag on Processed Date and Effective Date to drill down to the detail of the retro buckets.
The Processed On Time key figure shows 1 if the Action Effective Date is equal to or newer than the Processed Date, otherwise, it shows 0. The 1-29 Days Retro key figure shows 1 if the Action Effective Date is older than the Processed Date by less than 30 days, otherwise, it shows 0. The 30-59 Days Retro key figure should show 1 if the Action Effective Date is older than the Processed Date and is within 30 to 59 days of the Processed Date, otherwise it shows a 0. The >59 Days Retro key figure shows 1 if the Action Effective Date is older than the Processed Date by more than 59 days, otherwise it shows 0. Total Transactions represents the total number of Separation actions. Total Retros Processed represents the total number of Retros present in the row (the combined total of the 3 Retro buckets). Key BI Points to Remember Do not use the Back button on the browser to go back. (Instead use “Back One Navigation Step”.) BI Reports sort from the left to right. Columns can be removed by dragging up and dropping in the dark blue area.
