KEY skill/knowledge courses (lecture, studio, or seminar) skill/knowledge courses (lecture and activity) integrated learning courses - ILC LA 431-438 (may be interdisciplinary; may be repeated) must be taken together with Design Focus Studios LA design focus studio courses (may be outside of the department and/or interdisciplinary) senior design project focus studio courses (two courses) general education (GE) courses - 72 units for CAED majors. (note: B4 One lab taken with a B2 or B3 course)

Upper Division LA Electives may be LA courses, including additional ILCs and Focus Studios, or CAED interdisciplinary studios. Professional Electives may include any course in: College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED); Art and Design Department; TH 330; any Minor in the CAED. Advisor Approved Electives are SS 121, BRAE 337, BIO 227, STAT 217 or 218. Students are required to select five focus studios, with a minimum of one from each of four topic areas, plus one additional from any of the four. (Natural Environments, Cultural Environments, Project Design and Implementation, Design Theory and Exploration) Students are required to take a minimum of five ILCs in at least three areas Senior Design studio will be two quarters in length and sequential in scheduling.
