Back pockets

Back pockets If you want to add back pockets to your pants, then copy the pattern piece from the back pants pattern piece. Cut out 2 pieces.

Before you‘ll sew the pockets to your back pants, fold both sides, the diagonal edge and the lower edge approx. 1cm / 1/4in to the inside (wrong sides together) and press well. Leave the top edge as it is. Now topstitch all folded edges with presser width distance and a straight stitch. Now fold the top edge to the inside, approx. 1cm / 1/4in, wrong sides together and press well. Topstitch as well with a straight stitch. It‘s up to you whether you topstitch once or twice or add some decorative seams on your pocket.

Place both pockets on your back pants and pin in place. Now edgestitch the pockets to the back pants - your back pockets are finished.

Hemming Finally you have to hem your pants. Fold the ends of the legs to the inside. There are marks on the pattern where to fold it, but you can try it on and check the length first and adjust if neccessary. Now topstitch from the right all around.

You have finished your SHO!pants! :-)

HOW to Lengthen or shorten If you‘ll have to lengthen or shorten your SHO!pants then cut the pattern at the knee. Take off or add the amount of cm/in you‘ll need and adjust the side seam curves. I don‘t recommend just to cut of or add the required cm/in at the end of the leg as you wil loose the flare or wil have an extreme flare in the end if you do so.
