Back-To-School Backpack Giveaway, Aug. 19 3,000 Backpacks to be Given Away at Clark High School WHO/WHAT: Students and families preparing for the 2016-2017 school year are invited to attend the “Backpack Giveaway” hosted by Mariana’s Supermarkets. Vegas PBS, a media sponsor, along with other local vendors, will join Mariana’s to welcome and supply 3,000 students with a backpack and school supplies. Vegas PBS Ready To Learn coordinators will also demonstrate free PBS KIDS mobile apps that encourage science, math, literacy and programming exploration with interactive stories and games. This event is free and open to the public; students must be present to receive a backpack. WHEN:
