Solder SD-card connector There are two possible ways to solder SD-card connector. First, on the upper side of the board, and second, on the right side of the board. Place connector in one of these places. There are small holes in the board for positioning connector (connector used is Attend 104G-TAA0-R push-pull socket).

First, solder the outter pins of socket. Then, remove internal plastic part from socket.

There solder internal pins. It should be easy.

Solder wire jumpers Use tinned wire or piece of cable.

Solder C1, T1, US2 Carefully solder C1, T1, US2 lying flat on board (when soldered normally, it would be to high to place LCD).

Solder rest of the parts First, solder Solder rest of the parts (expect cable connector and LED) in normal way. Do not use socket for 74HC4050 chip. On the next photos, T1, US2 are not placed flat on the board, I done it later.

Put LCD on its place First, insert M3x20mm screws from the bottom of the board. Then, place one M3 washer and one 5mm plastic spacer on them. You can use 5.5mm spacers without washers, if you buy or print them. Insert 1x16 goldpin row in holes. Do not solder it yet!

Then, put LCD on screws and goldpins. Place one nut on each screw and tighten it by hand. LCD is now locked on proper position. You can solder goldpins to PCB and to LCD as well.

Prepare cable Use 24-wire flat cable. 1M of cable worked OK, but shorter are better. First, crimp female IDC connector to connect cable to Sanguinololu/RAMPS. Use special tool, or vise. You can do it with also pliers, but it's difficult, vise is much better.

I used 26pin IDC, 24pin was not available. Place tape in a way that first conductor, usually with red mark is placed on first pin of IDC, marked with triangle. On the other end of cable, there will be another IDC connector, this time male, soldered to PCB (you can solder wires directly into board, if you want, but using IDC is much simpler and elegant). Crimping male IDC without special tool may be difficult, but you can use little trick ;) Place cable in connector, and then, insert connector's pins in female IDC, crimped previously. You can now insert it in vise and tighten it.

Now, you can solder cable to PCB. There is a little triangle mark on PCB, where first pin of connector should go.

Connecting to Sanguinololu Be very careful! If you connect it in bad way, you can damage LCD and/or processor. Disconnect power and USB cable first. Then connect the plug. First conductor in the cable must be in the same row, where there is 12V pin on AUX connector. Please look at the pictures below:
