Teaching Assistant Vacancy We require a full-time Teaching Assistant to join us as soon as possible. The post will provide opportunities to join the Learning Support Team of Bartholomew School, helping support the learning of our more vulnerable children. The post will be permanent, for up to a maximum of 32 hours per week term time only. Remuneration will be on the Local Government Pay Spine (LGPS) at Grade 4, Points 11-13, £15,207 to £15,941 (£7.88 - £8.26 per hour) pay award pending, pro rata. The successful candidate will find the position to be varied and stimulating. Our Teaching Assistants regularly support students with special educational needs in the classroom across a wide variety of subject areas. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work with individual or small groups of students outside the classroom with a view to enhancing their literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Some experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage. We are particularly keen to recruit a Teaching Assistant who is committed to providing learning opportunities for all students and who is able to work flexibly as a member of our Alternative Learning Programme Support (ALPS) Team.
