In recent years, Geisha trees have been planted in small amounts throughout these estates to try and take advantage of the regions specific micro-climate. The small region of Boquete has shown the speciality world the amazing potential of the Geisha variety and still manages to produce some of the best results. All the estates are located in the Boquete District and have altitud es ranging from 1360 to 2000 masl. The soil is from volcanic origin with temperatures averaging 15 to 22 degrees celcius and with a rainfall average of 3000mm per year. Winds are North-South during the summer season with the Baru Volcano located to the wes t and the Central Mountain range to the North.
