BROEN WATER VALVES WITH A CERAMIC HEADWORK BROEN water valves delivered with a ceramic headwork have turning range of 180° or 90° in case of elbow lever..

Upper ceramic control disc Outlet Valve housing

Inlet ceramic disc Lip-seal Built-in BALLOFIX® valve

Inlet

POSITION CLOSED

DESCRIPTION 1. Spindle of the headwork is turned clockwise* 2. Upper ceramic disk is moved in such a way that the openings of the inlet disk are blocked not allowing water to flow

OPEN

1. Spindle of the headwork is turned counterclockwise 2. Upper ceramic disk is moved in such a way that the openings of the inlet disk are released to allow water to flow 3. The valve is fully opened when a handle makes 180° turn from the closed position.

* In case of the elbow lever closing and opening direction may be opposite.

3

BROEN WATER VALVES WITH A COMPRESS/RUBBER HEADWORK BROEN water valves delivered with a compress/rubber headwork have turning range of 2 x 360°.

Jumper Outlet Elastic seal Valve housing

Integrated BALLOFIX® valve

Inlet

POSITION CLOSED

DESCRIPTION 1. Spindle of the headwork is turned clockwise 2. Turning the spindle moves the jumper linearly. The jumper is fitted with a rigid but elastic seal and is moved against the valve’s seat closing the flow of water.

OPEN

1. Spindle of the headwork is turned counterclockwise 2. Turning the spindle moves the jumper linearly. The jumper is fitted with a rigid but elastic seal and is moved from the valve’s seat opening for flow of water. 3. The valve is fully opened when a handle makes 2 x 360° turn from the closed position.

4

BROEN VALVES FOR SPECIAL WATER BROEN valves for special water are delivered with a diaphragm headwork that has a turning range of 2 x 360°. Diaphragm is the only part of the headwork that has a contact with a medium (no lubrication or other materials come into contact with fluids).

DESCRIPTION 1. Spindle of the headwork is turned clockwise 2. The diaphragm is moved in such a way that the openings of the inner insert are blocked not allowing water to flow

OPEN

1. Spindle of the headwork is turned counterclockwise 2. The diaphragm is moved in such a way that the openings of inner insert are released to allow water to flow 3. The valve is fully opened when a handle makes 2 x 360° turn from the closed position.

5

BROEN VALVES FOR BURNING GASES WITH A CERAMIC HEADWORK BROEN valves for burning gases delivered with a ceramic “press/turn” headwork have turning range of 90°.

POSITION CLOSED

DESCRIPTION 1. Spindle of the headwork is turned clockwise 2. Upper ceramic disk is moved in such a way that the openings of the inlet disk are blocked not allowing gas to flow

OPEN

1. Press the handle of the valve down 2. Spindle/handle of the headwork is turned counter-clockwise 3. Upper ceramic disk is moved in such a way that the openings of the inlet disk are released to allow gas to flow 4. The valve is fully opened when a handle makes 90° turn from the closed position.

6

BROEN FINE REGULATION VALVES WITH A NEEDLE HEADWORK BROEN fine regulation valves are based on a headwork having a quite small orifice and a spindle with tapered needle that allows a fine regulation of flow.

Inlet

POSITION CLOSED

DESCRIPTION 1. Spindle of the headwork is screwed downwards (while the handle is rotated clockwise). 2. The orifice is closed by a spindle's needle and there is no flow from the inlet of the valve to the outlet.

OPEN

1. Spindle of the headwork is screwed upwards (while the handle is rotated counter-clockwise). 2. The orifice is opening when a spindle's needle rises up and there is a flow from the inlet of the valve to the outlet. 3. The valve is fully opened when a handle makes 3x360° turns from the closed position.

7

BROEN FINE REGULATION VALVES WITH A MICRO FLOW HEADWORK BROEN Micro flow headwork is based on a very small orifice and a spindle with a long tapered needle that allows a very fine regulation of flow.

Valve housing

Orifice Outlet Built-in BALLOFIX valve

Inlet

POSITION CLOSED

DESCRIPTION 1. Spindle of the headwork is turned clockwise. 2. The orifice is closed by a spindle's needle/PVDF gasket and there is no flow from the inlet of the valve to the outlet.

OPEN

1. Spindle of the headwork is turned counterclockwise. 2. The orifice is opening when a spindle's needle rises up and there is a flow from the inlet of the valve to the outlet. Due to unique construction of the headwork it is possible to achieve a very fine regulation of the flow. 3. The valve is fully opened when a handle makes 7.5x360° turns from the closed position.

8

BROEN VALVES WITH A VACUUM / HIGH FLOW HEADWORK BROEN Vacuum/high flow valves are based on a headwork having an orifice and a rising spindle that allows gas to flow.

POSITION CLOSED

DESCRIPTION 1. Spindle of the headwork is screwed downwards (while the handle is rotated clockwise). 2. The orifice is closed by a spindle/gasket and there is no flow from the inlet of the valve to the outlet.

OPEN

1. Spindle of the headwork is screwed upwards (while the handle is rotated counter-clockwise). 2. The orifice is opening when a spindle rises up and there is a flow from the inlet of the valve to the outlet. 3. The valve is fully opened when a handle makes 1,5x360° turns from the closed position.
