New Jersey Basketball Academy Staff
Bill Maranz —— President of the New Jersey Basketball Academy and Camp Director of the Fun and Fundamentals Basketball Camps. Simply, the Academy was established to provide quality basketball instruction at an affordable cost. For thirteen years, Bill has coached at the collegiate level at Saint Peter’s College, Adelphi University and Babson College. Bill has also coached five seasons at the professional level in the United States Basketball League (USBL) with the New Haven Skyhawks and Long Island Surf. In addition to directing numerous camps, Bill has also created the “Future Hoops” program introducing basketball to boys and girls ages three to fifteen.

Tim Capstraw —— Coach Capstraw has an extensive basketball background as a player, head coach, administrator and television broadcaster. Presently, the radio analyst for the Brooklyn Nets, Tim is also an analyst for NBA TV and NCAA TV and the London Olympics. Prior to joining the media, Tim was a Division I head coach at Wagner College for ten years. With over twenty-five years of experience as a basketball camp director, Tim has been working with youth programs developing the skills of boys and girls throughout the country. Additional camp staff will include local coaches, as well as college and high school players.

Tim Capstraw Basketball Camp will be held again this summer at the impressive and air conditioned Wayne PAL. Tim, a former Division 1 Head Basketball Coach for 10 seasons, has more than 25 years experience directing basketball camps. For the past 12 years Tim has been the Brooklyn Nets Radio Analyst and also a TV Analyst for NCAA Basketball, NBA TV and the Olympics. The popular camp now in it’s 14th year is for Boys and Girls ages 6-16. All skill levels are welcome. Please enroll early to reserve a spot.
