HART BASEBALL & SOFTBALL BATTAGE CAGE RULES • RULE #1: A Cage may be used by a team on the day of their scheduled game or practice (Fall). • RULE #2: One team per cage. A team may use more than one cage, only if no other team is using or waiting for the cage. • RULE #3: All cages are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. A 30 minute time limit shall apply, based on availability. • RULE #4: Teams may use a single cage, for no more than 30 minutes, on non-game days, and only if a cage is available. Non-game day teams may only use a cage from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, on weeknights. Weekends are NOT available for non-game day teams. • RULE #5: No less than two cage shall be reserved for softball. Baseball may not use all cages while a softball team is waiting. If no softball team is waiting or using a cage, a baseball team may use the last available cage.
GENERAL RULES • All players, all levels, must wear batting helmets. • Any pitcher, under the age of 18, must also wear a helmet while in the cage. • 30 minute time limit, per team. • Lights may be used only after sun set. • Lights must be shut off after use. • The (2) cages closest to Softball 1 are assigned for Softball teams.
• Livescan badges are mandatory. • Because of the new turf, METAL SPIKES, SUNFLOWER SEEDS AND CHEWING GUM ARE NOT PREMITTED.
