Class teacher changes – Summer term. Parents of year 5 children will be aware that Mrs Barrett will be leaving us at the end of the term. Mrs Kemp will be taking over as class teacher for the Summer term; she currently works with year 5 for one day each week, to provide PPA cover for Mrs Barrett and Mr Hyde. We are delighted to be able to provide the children with this level of continuity at this time of change.

Families are warmly invited to ‘Make Lunch’ at Aylesbury Vineyard. Over five days in the Easter holidays we will be hosting free lunches with fun

In year 4, Mrs Caldicott will be taking maternity leave from the May half-term onwards later in the summer. We are therefore also very pleased to be able to reassure parents of children in class 4PC that these children will also benefit from the best possible continuity during this time. Mrs Priest is able to work an additional afternoon with her class for this half-term, and Mrs Reynolds is able to re-arrange her weekly plans to teach 4PC for the other two days each week.

Younger children on the playground. at the end of the School day, younger children should be supervised on the playground while waiting for older children to finish their School day. They should not be allowed to climb on equipment such as the newly-installed gazebo, just as Mrs Standage has asked for children at the Infant School not to use outdoor equipment at the beginning and end of School days. Recently, younger children have also had to be stopped from climbing through the hedges that have been planted on the School field to enrich the School environment. Not only will such behaviour damage the plants, but it may also cause injury to these younger children.
