Roller Blinds The Blinds Company specialise in producing Roller Blinds in our customers’ own fabrics by either laminating or processing the fabric. We have particular expertise in pattern matching complicated fabric designs and checks for Laminated Blinds and processing extra wide fabrics. We also make made-to-measure Roller Blinds from our plain house fabrics. All Roller Blinds can be made with base shapes and trimmed to individual requirements. All Roller Blinds are available as spring rollers with a centre cord and wooden acorn pull or with white, chrome or brass sidewinder chains.
We also supply electrically operated systems. We are happy to test fabric samples as to their suitability for laminating or processing. Laminated Roller Blinds are made by bonding a stiffened backing cloth to the face fabric and is particularly suitable for glazed chintz, silk, moirés, synthetics and loosely woven fabrics. A Processed Roller Blind is created by stiffening fabric with a special silicone solution. Processing is most suitable for voile and lace as it retains the fabric’s translucency.
Roman Blinds Roman Blinds are created from customers’ unstiffened fabric, lined (and interlined if required). Concealed steel rods are used in each horizontal pleat to give weight for an even rise and fall. The blinds are permanently fixed to wooden top battens producing a very professional fit. Porcelain glides, brass eyelets and cords with brass cleats are supplied as standard. White, chrome or brass chain sidewinder mechanisms are also available. Roman Blinds can have borders and be trimmed to individual requirements.
Woven Wood Blinds Woven Wood Blinds are available as Roman and Roll-Up Blinds as well as Gliding Panels. We offer a wide range of weaves and colours with coordinating or contrasting edging tapes.
Venetian Blinds Our standard Wooden Venetian Blinds are custom made from stained and lacquered or painted timber in a wide range of colours. We also offer a Natural range in eight unstained timbers which display the character and grain of the wood. All Wooden Venetian Blinds are supplied with matching wooden fascias and are available with ladder tapes. Made to measure Aluminium Venetian Blinds are available in numerous colours and finishes.
CAFE STYLE hung on the lower part of the window allowing privacy whilst still letting in light.
CLEAR VIEW contemporary looking rodless system with a hidden tilt mechanism available on all window shutter styles.
SHAPED can be custom made to fit any size or shape of window including arched (from a partial eclipse to full circle), circular and triangular.
Shutters The Blinds Company supply custom made Shutters to the highest specification in solid wood obtained from sustainable sources and manufactured for us by an established UK company. Our Shutters are available in Teak, Cherry, Walnut, Oak, Pine, Mahogany or Maple, and can be customised in any paint finish or stain. Blades can be 32mm, 47mm, 64mm, 89mm or 115mm wide.
Shutters can be made as full height, tier on tier or café style to provide maximum flexibility of light control and meet privacy requirements. They can also be manufactured using a rodless system with a hidden tilt mechanism. Our bespoke service ensures that we can provide a solution for every window shape and size including arched, circular, triangular and skylight windows.
