Benedictine University - Twilight Invitational 2011 Meet Information

Entries:

All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 27th Please make all entries from the 2011 seasons (ID/OD) of competition! Field event entries must be in metric. Contact the Meet Director for entry information: [email protected] Team participation will be limited by the meet director.

Scratches only. No additions after declaration period!

Facility:

Nine lane 400 meter Tartan surface. ¼ inch pyramid only! Jumping venues, North – South runways, Concurrent pit usage (2)    

Long Jump - 175’ max. approach Triple jump – 32 & 37’ boards, 138’ max. approach Pole vault – 130-165’ max. approach, 9-15’ step markings High Jump – 1 pit will be used

Throwing venues    

1 – Hammer/Discus cage 1 – Discus cage 2 – Shot circles & sectors 1 - Javelin runway (120’ Tartan surface)

Starting Heights:

TBD based on entries.

Packets:

May be picked up at concourse of the Sports Complex upon arrival.

Timing:

Finish Lynx timing and all NCAA rules will govern the meet.

Scoring:

Top eight places score, 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 For relays, A teams only will score

Athletic Training:

Order of events FIELD EVENTS 3:00

Hammer- men followed by women Discus- women followed by men Javelin – women followed by men

Shot Put – men followed by women (East ring will be used for competition, West ring for warm-ups)

Long Jump M&W - (2 pits) followed by Triple Jump (2 pits) Pole Vault – women followed by men High Jump – men followed by women *Bar adjustments will not wait for checked out athletes. With approval from head judge you may jump out of order.

Note: Coaches may request to the head official of a field event to have an athlete switch flights ONLY if they are competing in the finals of another event. Head coaches should make their assistant coaches aware of this policy for the throwing events.
