Benedictine has posted double-digit wins in three consecutive seasons and has made the conference tournament each of the past two years. The Eagles finished 4-2 in conference play last year and racked up 49 points. The conference features nine teams this season. Aurora, four-time defending champion, earned the title of preseason favorite followed by Concordia Wisconsin.

Benedictine owns a 3-1 record all-time against Elmhurst. The lone Elmhurst victory came in 2015. Benedictine scored a 13-11 win last year in the first game under head coach Guy Bourdon. Elmhurst led twice in the game at 3-2 and 7-6. Both teams scored four times in the second half. Corbin Gett and Matthew Johnson each scored four times for Benedictine while Jeremy Voyda stopped 13 shots in goal.
