Berkeley Realty Colonial Relays FINAL Meet Information March 30-April 1, 2017 TEAM DROP OFF AND PARKING -

Teams can drop off on the East side of Zable Stadium, and then must immediately proceed out along James Blair Drive. Parking is available near Kaplan Arena. Be sure to display your parking pass o Vans can park in the Kaplan Arena Lot o Buses must park along Brooks St. Maps and parking passes are enclosed with this packet. Be advised- William & Mary Public Safety and Williamsburg Police will be present and ticketing throughout the meet.
TEAM CHECK-IN - Upon arriving, teams should head to the team check-in tent to pick up their packet and pay their entry fee. - The packet will include wristbands to access the infield for athlete warmup, relay cards, and additional final meet information. Collegiate Entry Fee: - $450 per men’s team/ $450 per women’s team ($900 for both genders). - $25 per entry if under 14 entries in that gender. - Entry fee is based upon # of entries at deadline, not the # of accepted entries High School Entry Fee: - $150 per gender for 10+ athletes. - $15 per individual entry. $25 per relay. Checks should be made payable to College of William and Mary Athletics-Write Colonial Relays on the memo line TEAM CAMPS - NO camps allowed on the infield!! - NO team tents should be set up on any of the grass around the stadium as the stakes will damage the irrigation system. - Teams may set up in the North Corridor, the East bleachers, the West Bleachers or West Concourse ATHLETE WARM-UP - The football infield will be open for athletes to warmup on. They must display their wristband to access the infield. - Hurdles will be available on the infield. They are for warmup only. DO NOT REMOVE ANY HURDLES FROM THE INFIELD - Hurdles on the track are for races. They are not to be used for athlete warmup. DO NOT move any hurdles from the track to the infield. 1
Berkeley Realty Colonial Relays FINAL Meet Information March 30-April 1, 2017 EVENT DECLARATIONS AND CHECK-IN PROCEDURES: Running Events - All athletes must declare their intent to compete at the clerking area a minimum of 1 hour prior to their event.
IF YOU DO NOT DECLARE FOR YOUR EVENT ON TIME, YOU WILL BE SCRATCHED. -

After declaring your intent to compete you are free to leave the clerking area for warmup. 20 min prior to the race, athletes must return to the final check-in at the clerking tables to receive their heat and lane assignment. Once an athlete has their hip number, they are to remain in the clerking area until they are brought out to the starting line. There will be room in the clerking area for athletes to move around, but they should not leave the clerking area once they have their hip number. Fastest sections will be run first.
Field Events - Declarations are made at the event site no later than 45 minutes before your event -
begins. If you do not declare, you will be scratched. In all throwing and jumping events, there will be a championship and unseeded section. The top 16 entries will be in the championship section. In the LJ and TJ, championship sections will get 3 jumps and the top 9 will advance to the final for 3 additional jumps. In the University sections, athletes will only get 3 jumps. All throwing events will be contested at Stimson Throwing Event Area (located off of Dillard Street). The championship section will get 3 throws. The top 9 will advance to the final for 3 additional throws. In the unseeded sections, athletes will only get 3 throws.
It is your team/athlete’s responsibility to know which section they are competing in. If you miss your section, you miss your event! Implement Inspection: Implement inspection will open at the following times each day, and will close one hour prior the start of the last throwing event of the day. ONLY implements for events taking place on that day will be accepted: Thursday: 1:30PM (women’s hammer) Friday: 7:30AM (men’s hammer, women’s javelin, men’s shot put & men’s javelin) Saturday: 8:30AM (men’s discus, women’s shot put & women’s discus)

Awards- Winners of championship relays will receive batons. The team champions will also receive batons. INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN: - In the event that the meet has to be stopped due to lightening. Teams and spectators must proceed to their vehicles/vans/buses for shelter - Updates and announcements will be made on our twitter account @wmxctf and inside the stadium once action resumes. - If weather forces the cancellation of Friday’s vertical jumps, the Championship sections for all vertical will be contested on Saturday and the University sections for all vertical jumps will be cancelled. TEAM LOCKER ROOMS: - Visiting team locker rooms will be available at Kaplan Arena Room 129. The code is 5-43. To access the locker room, athletes must enter from the ramp on the back side of the arena. - Visiting teams are responsible for bringing their own towels, and for securing their belongings while using the locker rooms TRACK AVAILABILITY: - Thursday from Noon-5pm the track will be open for team warmup. - The throwing fields will NOT be open on Thursday as meet setup will be ongoing. - Friday and Saturday, the track will ONLY be open for athlete warmup prior to 8:30am and during officials breaks. FINAL SCHEDULE - The final time schedule is listed below. - BE ADVISED: Whenever possible, we will roll up to 15 minutes ahead of schedule - If athletes are not in the final clerking area when their event is staged and called, the meet will roll on without them. BE SURE YOUR ATHLETES STAY IN THE CLERKING AREA AFTER THEY RECEIVE THEIR HIP NUMBERS DURING FINAL CHECK-IN!!
