This Sunday, August 16 will be Pr. Cathy’s first Sunday with us. Please join us for worship as we welcome her to Bethany.
This Sunday we welcome Pr. Cathy as Senior Pastor at Bethany. The Evangelism Team, building on the “Connections” theme used during Lent, is inviting everyone to wear a name tag. This will help Pr. Cathy get to know us as well as help us know each other.
Pr. Cathy’s Installation Sunday, August 23, 3 pm Pastor Cathy Daharsh will be formally installed as Senior Pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church at a special service of installation at 3 pm on Sunday, August 23. The Rev. Gary Erickson, Assistant to the Bishop, will preach and preside at the service.
Name tags will be available at a special table by either entrance. Please wear a name tag each Sunday for the rest of August and throughout September. Thank you for helping us “Connect” with Pr. Cathy and with one another.

Bethany Member Art & Craft Show Be sure to visit the Bethany Member Art & Craft Show and Sale in Luther Hall. This is a lovely event with 25 artists participating and over 65 pieces on exhibit. View it every Sunday during coffee hour and weekdays during church office hours for the entire month of August! Many items are for sale, so look closely. Artists will donate a portion of all sales to benefit Bethany Arts. For sales information, check with Kelly in the church office or contact Judy Hollister at 815-459-5209 or 815-621-2555 (cell).

Youth Back to Church BBQ Saturday, August 29 5 - 7:30 pm Come one, come all to our annual Back to Church Youth Family BBQ! The DeGroot family is hosting us this year at their home at 3604 Franklin Court, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. There will be lawn games, volleyball, swimming, and of course, a lot of good food! Please bring a swimsuit, towel, swim stuff (goggles, nose plugs, etc.) and a dish to pass. RSVP to the Evite sent out by Pr. Paul to let him know you are coming and what you are bringing.
