REASON #3: BETHEL ATHLETICS TRADITION • Bethel University’s athletic programs have had a strong past and have also enjoyed great success in the present! • This season Bethel’s football team finished 12-1, after going 10-0 in the regular season. As a result, they advanced to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals for the third time since 2007. • In 2013 alone, Bethel has had 53 All-MIAC performers and over 230 MIAC All-Conference selections in the last five years. • Coaches like Head Football Coach Steve Johnson and Head Volleyball Coach Gretchen Hunt have led their teams at Bethel for 25 and 13 years, respectively, and have provided a winning experience, solid mentoring, and program stability for student athletes. • New coach Doug Novak, in his tenth year as a head college coach, has begun his first season at Bethel the right way, helping the Royals get to 7-2 early in their 2013-14 season. • Top coaches, top teams, and top student athletes make Bethel Athletics “tradition rich” and a great place for you to have a successful college career!
