1

Gather your materials. You'll need pliers and scissors. You can use any flat pair of pliers for this: flat-nosed jewelry pliers or a pair of hardware store pliers are perfect.

3

It's fringe time! To create the fringe fold a 3" length of raffia over itself.

2

Add a small dab of glue to the flat part of the cabochon and center it on the cuff.

4

Keep folding until you have three 3" loops and then trim them all to create 6 strands of raffia.

5

Slide all six strands of raffia into one of the fold-over crimps.

7

Fold the first tab of the crimp over the raffia. Try to cover as much of the raffia as you can but don't worry if you don't get all of it.

9

Bend the flat loop backwards just a bit. This will make it the perfect angle to slide under the cabochon on the cuff. FOR THE MAKERS | TRADEWINDS COLLECTION

6

To keep the tassel secure start by folding the ends of the crimp toward each other with the pliers. Don't push too far or you will end up with a metal teepee.

8

Fold the second tab over the first tab and press (hard!) to secure.

10

Tassel party! Create three more of these tassels.

11

Add a thin line of glue along the entire flat side of the crimp.

13

Glue two crimp tassels on each end of the cuff, facing slightly outward.

15

When the glue is dry trim the tassels so that they're even with the cuff. Adjust the size to be longer or shorter if you'd like. FOR THE MAKERS | TRADEWINDS COLLECTION

12

Slide the crimps under the cabochon glue-side down.

14

The E6000 glue will still be tacky so you'll have time to move the crimps and the cabochon around until you're happy with the way it looks. Add more glue if needed. Let the glue dry for several hours.

16

Round the edges a bit with your scissors so the raffia doesn't look severe.
