Bison Soccer 7v7 Fundraising Tournament Outdoor Turf Fields September 4th 2016 Tournament/Game Rules: -

Co-ed teams with no restrictions on ratio of men and women. Teams must have a minimum of 8 players, and a maximum of 14 players. All teams will be guaranteed 3 games. If you do not have a team, you may register as a free agent and will be assigned to a team. 18+ tournament. Games will be played on a half-field. Teams must arrive at least 15 minutes before each game and will be allowed an on-field warm-up time of maximum 10 minutes. If less than 5 team members are on the field at time of kick-off it is an automatic forfeit. If your team does not have enough players to field a team of 7 at kick-off, you then have the choice of either playing short-handed or forfeiting by a score of 3-0. Pinnies will be available to differentiate the participating teams if necessary. Please request them with the referees at the beginning of the warm-up period if you need them and return them to the referees as well at the end of each game. 20 minute group match games (10 minute halves) with 2 minute half time. 30 minute playoff games (15 minute halves) with 5 minute half time. Coin toss at beginning of game will decide sides and which team starts with the ball. Teams will switch sides at half-time. Games will be played with one goal keeper and 6 field players. Subs can be made on the fly. Subs must remain off the field of play at all times during play. Offside rule in affect at the referee/assistant referees’ discretion. One referee on the field and one or two assistant referees (linesmen) will be present to officiate. Goal kicks and corner kicks as per usual Sideline out of bound balls must be played with a throw-in only Any unsportsmanlike behaviour towards opponent or referee/lines people will result in disqualification (they are referees in training- this is a fun fundraising tournament first and foremost!) No slide tackling, or unnecessary rough play of any nature. Referee will keep time, at the end of each game, referees will report score to the results table. Win = 3 points, tie = 1 point, loss = 0 points. Top 2 teams in each pool advance to the playoffs. 1st place team will be awarded Bisons soccer merchandise. There will be a game played to decide 3rd place. If two teams are tied for points at the end of the group matches, the advancing team will be decided by goals for/against differential.
