Fabric 2 yards each of white and black fabric 1 yard for sashing Fat quarter for cornerstones 3/4yards for border 1 yard for binding 4 yards for backing 1/4” seam allowances included
Cutting Instructions
Black Cat Pieced Block
See rotary cutting guide for cat block cutting instructions. Each block is 10 1/2” unfinished. Cut 60 sashing strips each 10 1/2” x 1 1/2” wide. Cut 36 corner-stones 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”. Border strips are cut 2 1/2” wide. Quilt Assembly Make 17 pieced cat blocks—8 with black cats and 9 with white cats. Make 4 black and 4 white blocks. Each block is a 101/2” square unfinished. Arrange blocks on a flat surface as per quilt. Place sashing and corner-stones in place. Sew pieces together in rows and then sew rows together. Sew on 2 1/2” wide red border. Sew sides on first then top & bottom border pieces. Complete quilt using your preferred method.
