One of the primary reasons for this rural growth is as a result of its proximity to the Metroplex with all of its employment centers, Wise County has had strong growth both in recreational land sales and in primarily residential home sales over the last five to seven years. It is a hub for the cutting horse country. The area is full of wildlife and is located in the cross-timbers region of North Texas.
