DON’T TURN DOWN CHARITY
The Huskies have been able to take advantage of their opportunities at the foul line so far this year - Bloomsburg leads the PSAC in free throw percentage, hitting over 79 percent of their shots at the charity stripe. The Huskies are 84-for-106 as a team at the line through five games.
MAKING THEM COUNT
Adreana Sadowski has made her shot attempts count this year, connecting on 60 percent (33-for-55) of her attempts from the floor. That total ranks third in the PSAC behind only Shippensburg’s Stephanie Knauer (.656) and Slippery Rock’s Jazmyne Frost (.610).
QUICK AS A CAT
Senior Catherine Noack has scored in double figures in all five games this year and ranks among the league leaders in scoring. Noack stands fourth in the PSAC in points per game at 18.4 ppg, behind only IUP’s Lindsay Stamp (23.4 ppg), Shippensburg’s Stephanie Knauer (19.3 ppg) and Lock Haven’s Emily Daugherty (18.6 ppg).
THEIR TIME NOW
Though this year’s version of the Huskies has a much different look than past years, much of the roster remains the same from last year’s PSAC Championship squad. True, five players including four starters graduated off last year’s edition, but 11 players return from that team – five sophomores, four juniors and two seniors. Those returners have gotten a chance to shine in the early season – five have set new career highs in scoring during the first two games.
CONTINUING TO CLIMB
Senior guard Catherine Noack is just two 3-pointers away from rising another spot on the all-time BU list of success beyond the arc. She enters the Cheyney game ranking fifth all-time in school history with 167 career made 3-pointers with Kayla Oxenrider’s 169 next in line.

CLEARY REACHES MILESTONE
Bloomsburg head coach Bill Cleary recently set a career milestone, scroing his 100th win with the Huskies in the season-opener at Chestnut Hill. He owns a 103-46 record at BU in his sixth season with the Huskies. In all, Cleary owns a 159-131 career coaching record. He is the third coach in Bloomsburg women’s basketball history to win 100 games with the Huskies – Joe Bressi went 175-47 between 1986-94 and Monica Starrett compiled a 137-65 mark between 1997-2004.
HUSKIES PICKED SECOND IN PSAC EAST POLL
The Huskies were picked to finish second in the PSAC East Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Millersville landed the top spot in the poll while Shippensburg was third, West Chester fourth and Kutztown fifth. East Stroudsburg, Lock Haven, Mansfield and Cheyney rounded out the poll. Though second, the Huskies claimed the most first-place votes in the poll – three – ahead of Millersville, Shippensburg and Kutztown which all took two first-place votes apiece in a voting reflective of the potential wide open nature of the East Division this season.
