Hello colleagues, I’d like to introduce myself as your new leader, having taken over as Managing Director for earlier this month. A big thank you to all that I have managed to meet so far for your warm welcomes, and I look forward to meeting the rest of you in the very near future. First things first, let me say how pleased I am to have joined BMF and how excited I am by the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. It is a great product, delivered by very passionate people. This is the main reason that I wanted to join the company. This passion for the product has become even more noticeable from talking to those that I have met and will always remain key to our success. My role is to build on the special spirit of BMF, ensure we nurture and develop the talent that we have and to use this to deliver a product that will attract and retain more members.

Over the next few weeks, my time will be spent getting to know the team well and fully immersing myself in the company and the product. This includes visiting as many parks as possible and joining in the classes – the best way to get a feel for a park and what we do best. I will also be chatting to the teams on site, to answer any questions that you may have but most importantly, to get your comments on how things are going and to listen to your ideas about BMF. After this initial period I will be working with the Regional Managers to finalise our plan for the year ahead, and the key points from this plan will be shared with you via our new newsletter. However, the focus on communication and developing the talent in our teams will always be at the forefront of what we are doing, combined with delivering a product of absolute quality to our members.
