BOARD of DIRECTORS MINUTES July 19, 2016 ADMINISTRATION - BOARD of DIRECTOR MEETING CALLED to ORDER by President Bob Mola (7:30 A.M.) at the IHOP Rest. ATTENDANCE: President Bob Mola, Secretary Bill Corr, Treasurer Ed Verburg, Alan Tonelson, Directors: Dave Betts, Doug Meriwether Absent: Gerald Cody, Brian Le, Past-President Kathy Bayer, Larry Ross A quorum was present. Guests: Dave Bertagnoli, Kay Posell MINUTES of June 21, 2016: Doug Meriwether moved the minutes be accepted as presented. Alan Tonelson seconded the motion, and the motion carried. TREASURER’S REPORT: Ed Verburg presented the monthly and quarterly reports for the Administration account. A copy is attached as part of the minutes. At the end of June the Administration account had a balance of $1,613.03. Doug Meriwether moved and Dave Betts seconded that the treasurer’s report be accepted, and the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: • The new background check requirements for Service Advisors was discussed. Doug Meriwether reported that he tried completing the application and spoke to a KI representative and she said the system is not yet ready to process the applications. The members affected are: o Walter Douglas Key Club Advisor – TBD o Sabino High Key Club Advisor – Doug Meriwether o Arts for All Aktion Club – Bob Mola NEW BUSINESS: • Ed Verburg submitted a proposal that the club create and purchase about 250 business cards that can be used by members to inform potential new members of our club. He showed a sample of card used by the Roswell Kiwanis. Alan Tonelson moved that the proposal be approved, Doug Meriwether seconded and the motion was approved. ADJOURNMENT: At 7:40 AM, Alan Tonelson moved that the meeting be adjourned. Doug Meriwether seconded and the motion carried. The next Board Meeting will be August 16, 2016 at IHOP.

Bill Corr seconded the motion, and the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: • None NEW BUSINESS: • Ed Verburg presented a document that shows the guidelines for grant applications (copy attached). This document has been reviewed by the finance committee, Dean Sipe, and Scott Meyer. Doug Meriwether moved that the document be accepted and incorporated into the club guidelines (but not put on the website). Dave Betts seconded the motion and it was accepted. ADJOURNMENT: At 7:55 A.M., Dave Betts moved that the meeting be adjourned, Bill Corr seconded and the motion carried. The next Club Board Meeting will be August 16, 2016 at the IHOP.
