Debra Valencia™ Boho Girl Strips (20 - 2 ½" x 42") • 1 ½ yard Debra Valencia™ Boho Girl Purple Geo (for backing and binding) • 16" x 60" Low-loft batting • Coordinating thread • Safety pins • Rotary cutter, mat and acrylic ruler • Basic sewing supplies • Sewing machine • Walking/even-feed foot (recommended) • Iron and pressing surface

Before you begin Read all instructions before beginning project. Do not pre-wash fabrics. Before cutting, press with a dry iron. Use ¼" seam allowances and sew fabrics with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise noted. Press seams in directions of arrows. wof = width of fabric

Sewing Strip Sets: Label after sewing

1. Strip Set A uses one Strip of each: Turq Damask (6 ½"), Green Damask (6 ½"), Pink Small Paisley (6 ½").

Refer to Diagram A to draw a 45º line at one end of the Turq Damask and Pink Small Paisley Strips on the wrong side. Place RST at right angles to the Green Damask Strip as shown; sew on the drawn line. Trim ¼" away from the stitching and press seams open. Make a total of 4.

2. Strip Set B uses one Strip of each: Pink Circles (8 ½"), Green Damask (6 ½"), Pink Floral Burst (4 ½"). Repeat Step 1 to make a total of 4 (Dia. B).

9. Refer to Diagram I to lay out strip sets in the order and orientation shown. Sew the strips RST and press seams in one direction. Tip: Match angles by pinning the intersection at the ¼" seam allowance; baste. Check that angles match; if not, re-pin and baste until satisfied. Stretch or ease if necessary to make sure points and ends match. Dia. I

10. Sew the two Purple Geo Backing (18" x wof) pieces RST on the 18" sides to make one Backing (18" x 80"); press seam open. Press finished table runner and backing fabric. Tape backing to a firm surface with wrong side up. Layer batting and quilt top with right side up. Baste the layers together with safety pins. Refer to Diagram J for suggested quilting. Tip: Quilting with an even-feed foot is recommended when sewing through layers of fabric and batting. Dia. J

Finishing 11. Sew the short ends of the four Purple Geo Binding strips (2 ¼" x 42") RST end to end at a 45° angle to make one continuous strip; trim and press seams open (Dia. K). Press one short end ¼" to the wrong side. Fold in half lengthwise with wrong sides together; press. Leaving a 2" tail on the folded end, place cut edges of folded binding even with the edge of the quilt top and sew, mitering the corners (Dia. L). Overlap ends, trim any excess and finish sewing the binding. Trim excess batting and backing around quilt. Fold binding over to back and hand stitch. Dia. K Trim excess to ¼" of stitching

Finished Care Instructions Machine wash in cold water, gentle cycle; remove immediately from the washer. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry.
