Jr High Volleyball It was a rough week for the Lady Indians as we traveled to Melissa. Both 7th grade teams lost in 2 sets. We had a few great moments, but struggled with transitioning on and off the net. Serves were also an issue this week. Both 8th grade teams also lost in 2 sets. 8th grade A started off great in the first

game and led for over half of the game. The team got down on themselves and could not recover.

will travel to Anna on Monday. This is our chance to turn it around the second half of district.

The Cardinals stole all four games from the Indians. This week we have focused on serving and defense at the net. The Lady Indians

8th GRADE FOOTBALL The 8th grade Football Team came up short 32-30 vs Lone Oak. Dustin Sewell scored 4 rushing touchdowns. Mason Rodriguez scored 3 2-point conversions and a fumble recover on a kickoff. Hagan McCraw had a huge game at defensive end and provid-

ed key blocks on offense. Cade Bowser made some heads up plays and had 2 huge returns. Jamari Murrell and Marco Delgado made key tackles throughout the game. Next week is the Warriors bye week.

7th GRADE FOOTBALL The 7th grade team is continuing to improve. They saw a tough defense of Lone Oak on Thursday. The rushing attack was led by running back Marshall Mason and Quarterback Jaron Ross. Mason ran the ball extremely well and did a great job for the Purple. The longest run

came from Ross in which he picked roughly 45 yards before being corralled. Cannan Farley also saw quite a bit of action carrying the ball and a few pass attempts went his direction. Overall, the boys played well, but a few miscues and turnovers were very costly in the closely played game versus Lone Oak.

The Indians Defense held a fast Lone Oak team to 8 points Thursday night. The defensive line, led by Jack Porter, totaled 4 sacks. The team played fast the whole night!

point conversions. In the second half the Warriors held Lone Oak scoreless. Highlights included a fumble caused by Elijah McFarland and recovered by Bryce Redmond. Leading tacklers were Devin Howery and Drew Stanley.

JV FOOTBALL Thursday night the JV played the best game of the year against a tough Lone Oak team. We manage to win the time of possession battle but a couple of key mistakes derailed the offense at times. The JV offense had some big plays from Terry Ross and

Warriors defense struggled early on. The Buffalos used a variety of formations and trick plays to score three quick touchdowns and 2

bell, Rayen Campbell, Reese Davis, Samantha Hodge, Kaitlin Barr and Lizset Alvarez. "With district coming up on Oct. 10, our kids are really starting to peak at the right time. The boys had a strong showing last week in Pottsboro with 5 runners finishing in the top 20. Today in McKinney, the girls had their best meet of the

year. We set 5 PR's and had several others who improved by as much as 1:30 from just a week ago. I can't say enough about the way these kids continue to work every day." The Warriors and Lady Warriors travel to Blue Ridge on Thursday for their first afternoon event of the year. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:30.
