So the question is why are we so passionate about your success as a workshop leader. And as many of you know Sharla and I just recently got married and Sharla’s now about 5 months pregnant and our love is stronger than ever and we feel so blessed with our community, with our life, with the work that we do and even though we got married last year our business actually tripled its revenue in spite of all the madness and craziness of getting married. So for the last 3 years we’ve helped thousands of practitioners and coaches build their practice and we’ve received hundreds and hundreds of testimonials from practitioners who have vastly increased their success in their business. Now as I said earlier we’ve made over 1.2 million dollars over the last 3 years and almost every penny of that came from sales that took place in our workshops.



But you know we weren’t always successful workshop leaders. I’m just going to share a little bit if its okay with you about my story when I was 21 years old I traveled around the country by Greyhound bus for 2 years most people don’t know that and although its sound very romantic it was actually one of the hardest times of my life. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why I was so miserable and I actually literally filled about 20 journals during those 2 years. At the same time I knew I had great potential I just had to find myself. So one day I have an epiphany and it dawned on me that the reason I was so miserable was because I was always focused on myself and how miserable I was. I noticed that the many times I felt peaceful was when I serving other people. So I dedicate the next 3 years of my life to working with troubled teens. At first at a wilderness therapy camp and then I moved to California and started leading workshops at juvenile hall at high schools, group homes, and Sharla I think you probably remembered joining me at some of these workshops.

Sharla:

I do, I basically I would stand pretty much behind Jesse and whisper into the microphone because I was so shy if you can believe that.

Jesse:

If you can believe that. So yes, she barely opened her mouth the entire workshops and she would just stand behind and anyone who know Sharla now you wouldn’t think she would be shy but she actually was back then. And the truth was that no matter how much we tried we’re barely able to make ends meet and we had to support ourselves with part time jobs. Now eventually we attended the Coaches Training Institute and decided to actually work with adults. Go figure, we have heard of this sophisticated strategy of getting coaching clients by leading workshops. So we created a workshop called “Fire In The Heart” and we called everyone we knew and invite them to come to an all day workshop for at first it was $50 and then we did a huge raise 75 bucks for one day workshop and what a deal and we make sure that everyone was registered and they had direction and we confirm you know five people maybe six, seven, I think our biggest one was eight people? And then we’d wake up in the morning of the workshop and hurry up and pack up all the boxes and then we’d lug all of our workshop supplies with us and cardboard boxes and at the Fire In The Heart Seminar we did a collage, so we’d bring boxes and boxes of magazines and glue and scissors and they’d end up all over in our car and we’d always be running late so we arrive out of breath we’d both be making each other wrong coz it was her fault. So for all the work we were doing, we were still barely making ends meet.

Sharla:

You know and then one day we went to this workshop and we watched this man and there were fifteen hundred, two thousand people in the audience and we watched this man sell from the stage make offer after offer…offer where mobs of people would run to the back of the room to register for some of those programs and we were actually one of those people. And we were so excited by what we saw that we decided to give it a try and we decided to just take what we’d seen and see if we can figure out the pattern because we noticed the pattern about how he was making his offers and so we put it together and our very first workshop. We had 94 people come and we made $33,000 in sales that weekend. Now we were very let’s say sexy in our first Rejuvenate Your Practice, which is another way of saying we made a lot of mistakes and we certainly were not perfect but the people at the workshop must have really felt our authenticity and heart because they signed up for a lot of our programs and we counted all of those registrations on Sunday evening. It was $33,000 that weekend. We were amazed because we had made more money than the entire year before during the workshop…so we thought it might be a fluke. So we tried it again, this time we had only about 55 people come and we made about $40,000. We thought “Wow we’re on to something and we were having so much fun and even though we were very sexy and made lots of mistakes and we were not nearly as polished as we are now we still kept making money.” In fact, today we’ve lead over 25 Rejuvenate Your Practices and we’ve never made less than $10,000 at a weekend and our average is about $50,000 and our top sales weekend was $102,000.

So we’re not sharing these numbers with you to brag. We simply want to show you what’s possible for you for in a very short period of time because our first workshop that 94 people with $33,000 was in early 2004. So it can happen to you very quickly. If we’ve had this kind of success, so can you. And we can say that because so many of our clients who’ve taken the Build Your Empire Program have had similar results. One of our clients - Dr. Laurie Moore said that using the tools from The Build You Empire Program in one of her weekend workshops, she made over $40,000. Now Laurie had been leading workshops and she’s an extraordinary spiritual teacher. She’s an amazing animal communicator and her workshops just weren’t as successful. She used the formulas that we taught her to do that. Another client, Jessica Van Hulle made $1,000 leading a 90 minute class. And she said it was like “Live your dream” boot camp. So there’s 3 simple steps to start leading lucrative workshops right away and this is really so you stop thinking about it and actually doing it and if you think I’m talking to you, you know I am. There’s so many people that we meet who they think about it for so long. As a matter of fact, Jesse recently went to a seminar where there were 70 to 80 people who had already spent over $15,000 to learn how to lead lucrative workshops and he had met them 2 years previously and you know now when he speaks to they’re still “almost ready” to start their seminar company. “I’m getting started, I’m getting started.” So this is specifically for those of you who haven’t gotten started yet. And getting ready is the biggest step that sabotages people. So, what are you getting ready for? Are you waiting for it to be perfect? If you are, you better get really, really comfortable.

Jesse:

Because you’re going to be waiting for a long, long time.

It never is a perfect time and the secret to starting is it is this simple it is: to get started, to start, to do it now. It takes humbleness to start; it take the willingness to make mistakes and to be sexy as we say. But once you commit to starting there are 3 easy steps to launching your lucrative life changing workshops.

Jesse:

So, I actually want you to do the first step with me on this call because it is by far the most important step in starting because were not interested in theory; were interested in you taking action right away. So I’m going to invite you to pull out your calendar or your Palm pilot. I’m going to invite you to do it right now pull out your calendar or your palm pilot and these may sound really complicated but its going to be very simple and that is your going to choose a date about 2 months from now so you have plenty of time to fill your class and you’re going to mark it on your calendar right now.



Now I’m going to invite you to do a 90 minute class or a 90 minute workshop and you can choose any evening again 2 months from now so I recommend you choose an evening in April so you have plenty of time to fill this workshop and I’m going to invite you to write it in pen not in pencil in pen.

Sharla:

You’re brutal Jesse.

Jesse:

I’m so brutal. Oh my gosh, get your pen out and do it now. And the truth is it doesn’t matter what date and you know we’ve had people ask what’s the best evening you can do it Monday evening, you can do it Tuesday evening, you can do it Wednesday evening, Thursday evening , or Friday evening it really does not matter, what matters is that you actually do it because once you put it in the calendar you’re ahead of 70 or 80 people who I took a 5-day seminar with them that they spent $5,000 for that seminar and then already spent $10,000 just to get there you’re already ahead of most of those people because you just simply started. So take out your pen if you haven’t done that yet and fill in your calendar, this is probably the most important step you can take in this call fill in the class because until you do that nothing begins.

Sharla:

Alright I’m going to trust you did that while Jesse was talking about it and you really get the importance of that. So the second step is to book your space and you can call, many people start out and they do it in their living room for the first 2 years. Jesse and I used to run a program where we led workshops in our living room for 2 years and we even had as many as 20 people in our small living room and it was pretty cramped but we did it so I don’t care where you going to do it so book your space if you are going to have it at - you plan on making it a bigger workshop and you want to go to some kind of a community center or a hotel we’re going to ask you to up for a non refundable deposit. So get a non-refundable deposit. After the call we’re going to invite you to do some homework and to brainstorm your 5 favorite spots to have the class.

So that’s step 2 is to book your space and if you can…if you’re doing it at a place where you do have to pay money…ask for a non-refundable deposit. Now why would we have you do that? We have you do that because it makes you committed and when you commit you’re a lot more likely to follow through. So if you’ve got money on the line, that’s going to have you actually you say yes and do it.



And then step 3 and this is a fun step. It’s choose a title for your workshop. These are the easiest and most popular titles. This is probably simpler than you think but here’s one: “How To Get Started In __________.” You fill in the blanks. “5 Biggest Mistakes In _________And How To Avoid Them,” “5 Secrets to _______________” or “3 Steps to _______________.”



You see how easy this can be. Some of the most popular workshops that you can lead are ones where you‘re just getting people started because you have to realize that you know more than 99% of the people about your thing whatever your thing is. So give it one of those how to get started titles or how to avoid some mistakes. Things like that those are very popular titles and they really work and they really get people there. And then, commit to leading that class no matter what to whoever shows up, even if it’s the janitor of the building. Here’s the thing, I don’t care if you don’t get anybody to show up for it. At least get started because once you lead that class once then you’ll have something to work with. So those are the first 3 steps and we actually have a 21-Step Template that we teach in Build Your Empire, but we wanted you to at least get started because once you get started then you will get moving.

Jesse:

Great, thank you Sharla. So the next thing we want to share is the biggest mistake that most practitioners make when selling their services to a group that reduces their earning potential by over 80% and what to do instead.



So the biggest mistake that most practitioners make, that sabotages there success is that they make unintentional offers. And by the way, offers are a much more heartfelt way of saying a sales pitch. Now another name of unintentional offer is an apologetic announcement. Now you’re probable very familiar with apologetic announcements and here’s an example of one for let’s say the Build Your Empire Program. “So thank you all so much for coming to this teleseminar, I really enjoyed having you (pretend it’s the end of the teleseminar) and thank you so much. I really appreciate it, Oh, by the way, we’ve got this program called Build Your Empire. Its a 5-month program, but even though I put my whole heart and soul into it, you probably wont be that interested so oh we do have a free mailing list though so please sign up for that. Sharla:

So some of you on the call you may actually be thinking “Wow! I do that at the end of my classes.” Like thank you for coming I have this thing and oh and you know when you get nervous and so you say oh and there’s my free mailing list and you know Jesse exaggerated a little, but really honestly take a look. Have you been somebody who has done that before? Because we’ve been to so many classes where that’s what the offer sounds like and that’s an apologetic announcement or an unintentional offer.

Jesse:

Yeah and the truth is that Sharla and I used to make those as well and the reason most practitioners do make unintentional offers otherwise known as apologetic announcements is because they think that an intentional offer will sound too sales-y. So, they spend hours and hours working on their content and virtually ignore their offer. It is easy to think that you are being nice and spiritual by thinking only of serving others and not serving yourself. But the truth is that serving other people is an attractive way to continue the learning they began.

Sharla:

And it is a way it really is like when you are offering your services, it is one of the greatest services you can do for people. I mean, for me I have to be honest with you, when I have to make offers at a workshop it is one of the most exciting things because I know when somebody says “yes” to that and I have seen what happens with our clients and you know what is available, people continue working with you. You know their hearts can open, that their lives can change; you know what is possible for people.



So, when you make a powerful offer and you are offering the next steps for them. It is a huge service to them because of what’s available for them as they say yes and that is why the most exciting parts of the workshop for me is to make that offer because I know that when people say yes to our programs just like they would be saying yes to your services whatever is next that you are offering. They are saying yes to a huge possibility to their life.

Jesse:

So, just to give you an example, we went to a seminar about a month ago now and there were a number of different teachers who got up and spoke at this seminar, one of whom was one of the teachers who you may have seen on The Secret. She was actually quite moving on The Secret and when she spoke at the seminar, she was with us for 90 minutes and people were crying, and laughing. She was amazing, [I was] totally moved and her stories were incredible and I am sure I was not the only one that was like, man I would love to keep working with her. And then she at the end made an offer to share some of the next steps that people can take if they want to continue working with her and I was amazed that there were 1,400 people in the audience and when I looked at the back tables which I always have to do and I noticed that there was only 20 people or so in the back of the room signing up and the reason why it was because her offer just tanked.

Everyone could tell that she was uncomfortable making the offer. She like kind of got stammery a little bit like I am right now and it was like she lost the momentum and the power and the juice and the inspiration that she had when she was giving her presentation or leading her workshop and so, it was actually a disappointment to me because I knew that there were of the 1,400 people, I know that there were more than 20 people who could’ve benefited from continuing to work with her and it was like everyone was losing out because she wasn’t willing to or able to be authentic and step into her power as she made her offer.



Now imagine going to a restaurant and you sit down as the server brings out an appetizer and you like it so much that you want the main course, you want dessert, you want more and the server returns to your table and assuming that you don’t want anymore food, she hands you the bill. Now, would that be annoying or what? It is like “hello, I want some more food.”



So, if you’ve got a gift that you don’t share, it is like a server who comes and assumes that you are done with the appetizer and if you’ve got a gift that you don’t share, it will rot and die inside of you. So, if you’ve got the goods, share them and, you know what, some people will judge you. And you know what else, if you don’t make an intentional offer, they may still judge you and it just maybe for being wimpy or weak, or like what’s wrong, they do not have anything to offer. People are going to judge you no matter what.

Sharla:

So, who would make me better? If you know, if you are going to be judged you might as well help a lot of people and make a lot of money in the process.

Jesse:

That’s what I am talking about.

Sharla:

Here is the best part. It is actually refreshing for your participants to hear an intentional offer that you’ve practiced. Why? Well, because you know it so well that you can be your authentic self while you make it rather than trying to think of what to say. So, it really becomes like reciting a poem and you know people will really, really appreciate that you’ve practiced your offer. So, how do you avoid this mistake? You actually write out your entire offer and then you practice it, practice it, practice it and we actually recommend you practice it in a mirror until you feel so good about it and you know the first time that Jesse and I made an offer, we told you about that first workshop that 94 people and $33,000, Jesse, you basically left your body and I just steamrolled through it but what happened is Jesse you had wrote the offer right?

Yes I did write the offer but I did not practice it all and the reason why I didn’t practice it was because I didn’t want to do it, I was uncomfortable with it. I was scared, people would hate me and think I was too sales-y and everyone would leave.

Sharla:

Yep, so, practice, practice, practice. So, you know we would love to take the time right now to help you write a powerful offer and before we do, we are going to tell you a little bit more about that template, right?

Jesse:

Yeah, we are actually going to give you the beginning of your offer template on this call and so can start right away and then during the Build Your Empire Program we are going to do some extremely fun exercise.



Actually first we are going to hold your hand as you write your powerful offer. We are going to walk you through step-by-step. You are going to create your offer at the weekend, at the first weekend and then you are going to do some extremely fun exercises to help you really get comfortable with your offer, so that we you are delivering your offer you actually stay in your body because it always helps. It always helps to stay in your body as you’re making offers.



So, the next thing that we want to teach you is an easy-to-follow template that can make you thousands of dollars and you will be surprised how simple it can be. It’s what we’ve just shared we will teach you about and the truth is that one of the biggest reasons why most practitioner’s offers fall flat is because most practitioners announce that they are going to make an offer.



Now, what do you do, what do most people do when they realize that you are about to hear an offer? If you’ve noticed and I’ve noticed they check out. And if they check out during your offer chances are they are not going to continue working with you. So, you’ve got to give them a reason to pay attention. So that is where a template that we call our Million Dollar Offer Formula comes in because it has made us over a million dollars. That is why we call it that. So, we are not going to be able to teach you the entire formula tonight because there are 12 components to it and it takes time to go through– to master.



But we would love to share it with you the first 2 components because they will set you up for success in your offer and you will be able to get started even this alone will improve your offers a hundred percent, I promise you.



So, it starts by never again saying anything like thank you for coming to my class and now I would like to tell you about the services that I offer. Instead start your offer by 9

sharing a problem and a solution. So, what do I mean by that? The key to doing this is to ask yourself: “What am I offering as a next step for people to take after this workshop. What am I offering as a next step? And what problem does my offering solve? What problem does my offering solve?”

And that is the most important thing. What am I offering and what problem does my offering or service solve. So, you may be offering a package of 10 private sessions with you or 5 private sessions with you. Some of you in Leverage Your Genius may be offering an info product like a CD set, you might also be offering a program that you’ve created. You could offer someone else’s program, someone else’s book. You could offer whatever you want, but you find out what you’re offering and then you say what is the problem that my offering or service solves.



So, I’ll give you an example of that. So, instead of saying now I’m going to make my Build your Empire Offer, you can start your offers with a story and then share a problem and how your services are the solution. Again, you share a problem and how your services are the solution. So, for example and this is a true story. I met a man named Satyen Raja about a year and a half ago and the moment I met him I knew I wanted to do more work with him, so without telling Sharla I signed both of us up for a course called Sex, Passion, and Enlightenment and this was one of the hottest courses we’ve ever taken.



At that 3-day course it was as if I’d met Sharla for the very first time and I’ve realized that we’ve spent lifetimes together and even though I’d already proposed to her and she had said yes, I realized during those 3 days why I had proposed. So, we signed up for his Hawaii Couple’s Retreat right then and there on the spot. It was $8,000 and it took place at the most inconvenient of time. Imagine taking a week vacation to go on a retreat the month before your wedding. Well, that was what we did. We went to the 7-day workshop and what we found was that glimmer or opening that we had at Sex, Passion, and Enlightenment where it was like we saw each other for the first time, well that’s where we started that 7-day retreat and by the end of the 7 days, it was like we were in love in a way that we have never been in love before and we experienced.

Sharla:

It was extraordinary. It was like imagine having the most loving, wonderful romantic hear-opening, deep experience with your lover right before getting married and it made such an extraordinary difference in our ceremony and anybody that was there could really feel what a difference it made for us, how deep we are and it has lasted and I mean we are so much kinder to each other and it has made an enormous difference.

Jesse:

conceived yet and even our baby’s baby. It really shifted our DNA and our amount of love that we can hold and accept from each other. So, since then Satyen has become a friend of our and he has told us that he has worked with over a 100,000 people and that is a lot of people he has touched.

So, I will give you another example that some of you may be able to use at your own workshop. So, for example let us say you are a nutritional counselor and you’ve done a 90-minute workshop on the 5 secrets to losing weight, let’s just say, it is a pretty generic title but what the heck. So, the 5 secrets to losing weight and then instead as saying I want to tell you about how you can do nutritional consulting with me, you can say something like well you’ve just learned the 5 secrets to losing weight, now the problem is unless you actually apply these secrets these class was a waste of your time and a waste of my time and the truth is only that only about 10 to 20% of you statistics will show will actually do anything with the material that I just gave you and so that is why I have a comprehensive program called the lose weight in 90 days program or what you want to call it and because I am so passionate about you not just learning this information but taking it with you and actually implementing it, applying it so that you can fell better, enjoy your life more and actually look better at the same time. So, that is the way of using a problem, solution. Would it be okay if I share about that program with you and then you ask for permission? So, that’s the first part of the template that is how you introduce your offer. And again, we will be teaching a lot more about that in the Build Your Empire Program. We actually refer to it as a heart-based empire and you will know that you have that heartbased empire when instead of having to go out and get lots of clients you’ve actually built up enough momentum that your clients are now coming to you and at that point you’ll be well on your way to making 6 figures and we know that not everyone on this call wants to make 6 figures but this is the easiest way to generate a stream of income.



I can almost guarantee that you would not be on this call unless you would be very happy with lots of clients with having enough momentum built up so that the clients are coming to you rather than you having to go out and these are the types of strategies that you learn at Build Your Empire Program because leading workshops is the best way to get clients.

All right, let us actually talk about the next point which is how to get over your fear of speaking in public and I am curious if you know what glossaphobia means, That is the fear of public speaking. Now, most people are mildly afraid of public speaking and there have been studies that glossaphobia may affect as much as 75% of all people who have ever had to speak in public. Now, many people are more afraid of public speaking than they are of death and as Jerry Seinfeld said “if you are at a funeral, lots of people would rather be in the coffin than delivering the eulogy.” w w w . Now, a lot of people will say things like imagine your audience in their underwear even naked. Now I don’t know who came up with that but don’t you think that imagining your audience in their underwear or naked would be a little bit distracting. I mean, how can you be your authentic self when you are imagining something that is not really happening?



So, the key to breaking through your fear of public speaking is that connection matters more than anything. Connection matters more than anything. So, how do you connect with your participants? Well, the best way to connect with your participants is to focus on what we call your “battery sources.” You see at any given time, you will probably have some participants who are loving you and hanging on to your every word and you’ll have others that might look totally bored. So, the first thing, it is not personal. It is like everyone is having their own experiences and you can’t control this.



One of our friends says that everybody has their own workshop and that is what we found too with all these years of working with thousands of people. So, it is not personal. Some of them love you, some of them are not having as much of a good time. But as you know from the Law of Attraction: What you appreciate appreciates. So, when you focus on your “battery sources” or the people who are hanging to your every word, laughing at your jokes and you appreciate them you appreciative energy will create more people who are appreciating you and eventually you’ll look out and most everyone will be beaming. So, instead of focusing on your yawners or you appreciate your battery sources and pretty soon the whole group will be charged up. We have seen this happen again and again. I have to tell you that even before a Rejuvenate Your Practice, I still feel nervous, every time. Every workshop that I lead of the Women’s Leadership Program. It doesn’t matter, I still feel nervous every time and I’ve led to thousands of people and I’ve led hundreds of teleseminares, and workshops, and retreats.



That doesn’t go away. What I do is focus on the people who are having a great time and eventually everyone has a great time. That is one way to get over your fear of public speaking and our favorite way.



Let’s talk about the one thing you can do to increase workshop attendance. Once you get really great at leading your workshops and writing your offers, you have one thing left to do. You have to get people to come. The biggest pitfall that people face is that they can’t get enough people to come to their workshop to really make a profit. One of our favorite strategies to get people to our workshops is our e-zine or our email newsletter. Our e-zine was responsible for at least 350 people who registered for our Rejuvenate Your Practice 2 Day Intensive last year. If you don’t have an e-zine yet, you can get one. It’s very simple. You can just start it out once a month, and then increase it to every two weeks once you get in the groove of it. If you have an e-zine and it’s not pulling in registrations it’s probably because all you do is send out promotion after promotion after promotion. The reason why a lot of people from our e-zine list still read our e-zine and respond by signing up for workshops or tele-seminars is because of two things and you will want to write these down: • We let you into our life. We share personally with you. We post pictures and we let you into our personal life. We’ve been told things like “I haven’t seen you in such a long time but I feel like I have because I’ve been on your email list”. Even people who haven’t met us yet feel connected to us because of the pictures we post and because of the stories we share about our lives. We even took you guys to our wedding and on our honeymoon with us. You’ve probably met our cat Destri. How intimate can you get? The first step is to share about your personal life because people want to get to know you. That’s part of how they decide if they’re going to work with you or not. • We provide value-packed articles. It’s so important if you have an email newsletter that it’s not about sending out promotion after promotion. You have to give people valuable content. People tell us they love our articles and that the perfect article comes to them at the perfect time. If you’re going to do an email newsletter, an e-zine, you have to take the time to share personally within reason and to share value- packed articles. Those two will make it so when you so send out your promotions people will be more interested. Those are two steps that you can take.

Jesse:

Very smart. Very smart. We also want to share with you about how to put your workshops on autopilot and make it seem like a breeze. When Sharla and I first led our workshops not only did we do everything but what we didn’t do, we didn’t write anything down. Big no no! Every morning before our workshops we would run frantically around our house and office racking our brains to make sure that we remembered everything and that’s probably why we always showed up late. I’ll tell you right now exactly what you need to bring, how you want your material set up, how you want your assisting team led if you have one, how you want people to be registered when they sign up for your additional services. You will have to do it all by yourself.

Sharla:

Yes, and as a matter of fact I can remember the very first Rejuvenate Your Practice Workshop I basically almost led the team and I was having to tell them how to do everything and it was all in my head. So, it’s either all in your head or maybe if you have somebody that’s like an assistant, like we have a fantastic person we call a Production Supervisor who runs the back of the room, if it’s all in their head you have w w w . to pray they never leave. The way to handle this is to put your workshops on autopilot and you want to write everything you do down in the form of checklists, diagrams and templates and procedures, a step-by-step procedure plan. We’ve found that unless you’re really disciplined or unless you have a lot of time on your hands you won’t write down your systems no matter how many times we tell you to. Why? Because it’ll always seem like you don’t have enough time. It is so important for you to get this done and I can’t stress this enough because it’ll take everything you have just to get out the door and make it to the workshop on time. We know because that’s how it was for us for awhile. It barely worked when we were working with groups of eight people but when we started working with ten, twenty, fifty or a hundred people we just couldn’t juggle everything and be present for our participants. I’ve found that I’m pretty integrated personally in my left and right brain but when I’m leading workshops I want to be very right brain. I want to be very much in my heart and present and in my creative energy really be a clear channel for Spirit to move through me. If I’m in what I call logistics mind or my left brain I have a very difficult time doing that. It’s very difficult to be able to think about all the logistics and have it all done and also be really present. So for me personally, I find that’s true and you may find that that’s true for you. We realized that when our workshop systems were chaotic or nonexistent we were stunting our growth. Luckily we hired a professional organizer to turn our chaos into smooth systems and she actually created a manual of all of our workshop systems, checklists, templates and diagrams. This is in the beginning and eventually we ended up hiring a systems consultant and we actually paid thousands and thousands of dollars to have our manual created. Thanks to the work with these folks over the last couple of years, as well as other members of our team, our workshops run more smoothly and are a lot more organized. A lot of other seminar companies that have been around for 20 years whose people have assisted with us and have assisted with some of the big companies have said “You guys are way more organized than this company or that company”. It’s because of whatever systems you start with will just magnify. If I were you I’d start with systems that are as organized as possible at first and then grow them from there. Jesse:

That’s a really good point, Sharla, because you may think “Well, I don’t have that many people coming”, “I don’t need to organize my systems yet”, but the truth is the people can come quicker than you think and as long as you don’t have it organized not only are you blocking people from coming but unfortunately when they do come you’re going to be running around like a chicken without its head. I’m not just speaking from theory, that is experience talking.

Sharla:

money to sustain themselves. Many would be workshop leaders will either limp along leading workshops as a hobby or they’ll resort to getting a job. But it’s not just the would be workshop leaders that miss out, there are thousands of people just like you and me that will miss out as well. Jesse:

I can’t imagine my life without some of the workshops that I’ve taken. When I was fifteen years old I was in a sketchy neighborhood in the inner city in Chicago and my friend pulled out his wallet when out of nowhere four big guys grabbed his wallet and started beating on him and I made up this story because I was paralyzed with fear and at that time I made up this story that my life was in serious danger if I had money and people knew that I was rich. For years and years and years without knowing it I found a way to show people that I was not wealthy and I would dress down and my hair would be all messed up and I did whatever it took to prove that I wasn’t wealthy. I had no idea I was doing it because of this reason. At one workshop, I released that story and as soon as I did I opened the door for true wealth to come to me.



Another workshop I went to, I used to be ashamed to be a man. I thought most men were jerks. I went to a men’s workshop where for the first time ever I felt proud to be a man and proud to be a member of the male race.



I also used to blame my parents for why I was so depressed. At another workshop I learned that blaming my parents was an excuse. I didn’t realize it as a mental concept, I got it as a full body experience, as a huge a-ha. When I went home that night, my parents were waiting up for me. It was one a.m. in the morning. They knew I was going to this workshop, they had been through it and they were excited to see what I would get. I told them that I was now taking full responsibility for my life and that if I blamed them for anything they could remind me that I told them that I wasn’t going to blame them for anything. Since then I’ve gotten upset with them and I’ve gotten frustrated and angry, but I’ve never blamed them not once since that workshop and it’s opened up the door to peace. All of these life changing experiences I’ve had at workshops and if the founders of these workshops let their fears or resistances or insecurities get in the way of them delivering their gift to me and to many others, my life would be much different. I probably wouldn’t even be leading this call tonight. I believe the reason you’re on this call tonight is because you have a workshop inside of you that can make as much of a difference for people as the ones that I’ve mentioned made for me. Many of our participants from past Build Your Empire programs have made thousand of dollars in sales just at the last weekend of this program alone. Again, you’re going to be teaching your own material but it’s going to be honed for this program. Some of the participants have their ninety minute class that they lead on this third weekend professionally filmed and then they turn it into a DVD that they can sell online or give away as bonuses. Here’s the deal, the weekend you co-lead at has to be amazing. We don’t want to be yawning through your entire workshop. To insure that you learn and apply the material that we teach you, you will have to complete a list of fulfillments. These fulfillments are everything you need to do to be successful at leading your own workshops. There are other workshop leader training programs out there. One that I was actually considering myself sold for $50,000 for a year long program, had lots of CD’s and DVD’s and lots of support and it really revolved around a 4 day weekend without a lot of individual attention.
