Boomerang Supply List Instructor: Hester Mastro “Boomerang” pattern required Super Sidekick Ruler required You will need to bring with you to class: Basic Sewing Supplies. If you aren’t sure what to bring, please download the list from our website or ask for a copy at the quilt counter in the shop. Including: Sewing machine in good working order ¼” foot for your machine if you have one Rotary cutter and cutting mat Neutral thread and 2 full bobbins Straight pins Mary Ellen’s Best Press Starch IN ADVANCE of CLASS Accurately cut 3 ½” strips from your fabrics. Sew one light and one contrasting fabric together to make your strip sets. Sew at least 2 sets of each color. Press the seam to the dark side. DO NOT CUT any further. Fabric requirement: 3 ½” strip light and 3 ½” strip of dark (contrasting) yields 8 blocks ½ yd cut gives you 5 - 3 ½” strips (1/4 yd gives you 2 – 3 ½” strips) How many different fabrics you choose and the quilt size will determine if you want to buy ½ or 1/4 yd cuts (Less waste with ½ cuts). Strip sets needed for: Baby 11 (22 strips), Lap 23 (46 strips), Twin 38 (76 strips), Qn. 54 (108 strips), King 66 (132 strips)

I used 14 different fabrics for my blocks and a 15th for the setting triangles and binding.
