(Dec. 19, 2012) – Boston Whaler’s 210 Montauk was named the 2012 Editor’s Choice for best center console under 30 feet by the Active Interest Media (AIM) Marine Group. The 210 Montauk—Whaler’s largest Montauk—burst onto the scene in 2011, carrying on the line’s legacy of incredible functionality and durability while adding a host of features and loads of space. “Our Montauk line continues to be incredibly popular, and the 210 makes the perfect flagship,” said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler’s vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. “It’s an easy-to-operate, hose-and-go boat that also provides ample room and storage. Winning the Editor’s Choice in the ‘center console under 30 feet’ category is a testament to the 210 Montauk’s incredible utility and performance.” The 210 Montauk makes the ideal vessel for anglers and family boaters alike. An expansive forward deck area includes a standard large fish box and anchor locker, and an optional sun lounge with tilt-up backrests. A convertible cooler seat with backrest in the bow offers 94 quarts of storage, while six easily accessible rod holders are affixed to the console behind the cooler seat. The console also features easy-to-read instrumentation, two cupholders, space for factory-installed Raymarine electronics, and an acrylic windscreen with stainless steel grab rail. Owners can also opt for an audio system with MP3 inputs. “The 210 Montauk has gained wide approval by customers,” Vaughn said. “They can configure their platform for a day of fishing, a day of watersports with the kids, or a day of entertaining guests on a relaxing cruise. The seating options and amenities make this boat incredibly versatile, yet still refreshingly hassle-free.” AIM’s awards committee consists of editors and writers from Power & Motoryacht, PassageMaker, Sail, Yachts International, Soundings and Soundings Trade magazines. Each member of the committee has opportunities

to comment, debate and disagree with suggested winners, but the 210 Montauk received unanimous support in its category. Though indeed a special boat with its own distinct characteristics, the 210 Montauk has at its core Whaler’s characteristic quality, including Unibond™ construction and award-winning design and patents. “We think it’s fantastic that our original center console design of Montauks past has continued to evolve throughout the years without losing those essential qualities,” Vaughn said. “The 210 is a classic Montauk but with the additional space and features to do even more.” For more information, please contact Traci Davis at (386) 409-6419 or by email at [email protected]. ### About Boston Whaler: For more than 50 years, Boston Whaler has been building superior quality unsinkable runabouts, cruisers and center console boats.
