Supplies and equipment to bring to class: Your sewing machine – in working order with  The manual and all of the parts  Clean and oil your machine before class  A 1/4” foot  New machine needle(s) Basic sewing basket supplies:  Straight pins  Seam ripper  Scissors  Note taking supplies  Blue Painters Tape Thread – medium color (or match fabric) Fabric - 100% cotton, high grade quilters cotton  1 jelly roll or 8 fat quarters or lots of scraps of fabric (include lots of lighter colors)  enough background fabric to complete the size of quilt you desire (1-3 yds) Rotary cutting tools:  Cutting mat  Rotary cutter – 28mm, or 45mm *with a new blade  2 ½” ruler, and 1 ½” ruler, or just a 6” x 12” ruler Optional:  Small craft iron and ironing mat  Power strip(s)  Extension cords  Camera – you will need a camera if you want to record all of the variations  All materials may be purchased at Pacific Fabrics with a 10% discount.
