Note that the green squares and background squares are opposite each other diagonally for a 4 patch block

open up the bow tie part

Keeping the centre seams of the block matched up as a 4 patch block and the bow spread open, match raw edges - pin - stitch. Be careful not to catch the ‘fold’ of the bow in the 1/4” seam.

Mix and match! The bow ties aren’t hard they’re just a bit finicky. Use pins!
