Camp Information:
1. Application and a $50 non-refundable deposit are required. Make check payable to Queens University of Charlotte Soccer Camp. 2. Parents will receive an email confirmation of their child’s place in camp after receipt of application and deposit or camp fee. Other pertinent information will be included with the confirmation. 3. Campers must bring a soccer ball, a water bottle, sunscreen and snacks as they will have a break at half morning every day. Lunch each day is included in the cost of camp for full day campers. Each camper will receive a Queens Soccer Camp T-Shirt. 4. Call 704-369-3831 or email [email protected] for more information.
Boys and Girls Soccer Camps 2013 Camp Objective For the younger campers the learning of skills and the rules of soccer are emphasized. Sportsmanship and fun are also major objectives. Varied, fun and age group appropriate activities will be used to accomplish our goals. For the older campers the curriculum will focus on the more advanced skills and team awareness and development. Both offense and defense principles will be covered and the focus will be on the overall knowledge of the game. Players will be grouped according to their age and/or ability.
Camp Director Oliver Carias Coach Carias is entering his third season as the Queens University of Charlotte Head Men’s Soccer Coach. Carias was the assistant coach for the program from 2006-2010. During his tenure the Men’s Soccer Team reached the NCAA Tournament in 2006 and 2007,the first time for consecutive appearances. In 2006, the Royals were Conference Regular Season Champions and they went on to win the Southeast Regional Title before reaching the NCAA Elite Eight Tournament. Before joining the coaching staff back in 2005, the 2004 graduate played four years at Queens. He earned an All American distinction. He was recently inducted into the Queens University of Charlotte Hall of Fame in 2011. Carias holds a Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
