PROGRAM STATEMENT Basketball is a privilege, not a
guaranteed right. Academics, commitment and discipline inside the classroom is an expectation. We will not throw away the whole to make exceptions for the few.
Goals and Philosophy Goals First goal is to teach you how to become a high school basketball player Second goal is to teach you how to be a successful basketball team Third goal is for us to become champions Ultimate goal is to teach you how to be successful and prominent young men
Philosophy Hard work/No excuses- Some will need to learn this quick Self and Team Discipline- Do it right all the time and limit mistakes Honesty leads to Respect and Trust Follow and live up to individual and team standards Team over individual goals- most important
Expectations & Standards Academics
IHSA and District states passing 5 classes. If they start to fall behind they will be required to attend athletic study hall, tutoring, or will be pulled out to get on track

Attitude- It all starts with this Discipline- Do not make someone else do it for you. Stay the course. Focus- Set goals and make sure you/we obtain them. Commitment- To team and program/We will commit to you Sacrifices- Bad habits/Friends/Holidays- except academics
Parental Responsibility The toughest decision is to trust someone else with your son Expectations Advocate for them but not fight their battles. Becoming an adult. Support them as their parent but also support the program
Do not say things in the ears of others or in social media that is not supportive. Keep comments to yourself.
Be Realistic and do not compare us to other teams or your son to other players. Understand their true abilities and accept their weaknesses. Respect the decisions.

BE THE BACKBONE OF THE PROGRAM
Tryouts Tryouts No more than 3 days. Some will be cut on first day Registration and current physical- no exceptions Basketball shoes/shorts/acceptable t-shirt or practice jersey NO JEWELRY OR OTHER ITEMS THAT ARE NOT PART OF A UNIFORM (ex. Head-bands, tights, sleeves)
Braces need to be approved by coach and trainer or a doctors note must be presented
Team Selection- Each participant will be communicated with Cut- Things to work on Make- Told them their role to make sure that it is accepted

paying for the rooms with summer tournament money. 4-6 guys per room
Dinners for each night on us Breakfast and lunch will be at their cost- McDonald cards Expectation is that we are there to compete and increase our team unity. If any problems will be forced to get your child and their will be a meeting about the future- no exceptions
No girl friends unless they are with the parents Communicate if you want your child with you- preferred to stay with the team
