Breakdown & Cleanup Responsibilities Breakdown & Cleanup: Seeking sprightly and vigorous volunteers to help restore each venue to its pre-festival state. Stack all chairs, sweep, vacuum, take down all signs, wipe down counters, and pack supply bins. Once films are over, fold and stack all tables and chairs, pack and load all equipment, transport materials and help unload supplies at the SYRCL office. This role will move from venue to venue, working both in and outside until venues are restored to their pre-festival states. This role involves carrying items that may be between 20-50 lbs. This shift will happen rain or shine—please dress accordingly. Check-in at Headquarters. Nevada City: 315 Commercial St, Nevada City, CA 95959 Grass Valley: The Center for the Arts, 314 W Main St, Grass Valley, CA 95945 What to do: Check in at the Volunteer Lounge at least 5 minutes before the start of your shift. Arrive at your assigned venue no later than your scheduled start time. If you are scheduled to work at: Headquarters, check-in with the Headquarters Manager. A film venue other than Miners Foundry, check in with the Venue Coordinator (VC). Miners Foundry, check-in with the Venue Logistics Manager. Be prepared to be on your feet and moving quickly—our goal is to complete cleanup as efficiently and quickly as possible. Know that you will be moving to many venues in both Nevada City and/or Grass Valley. Be able to lift and move items between 20-50 lbs. This job requires working both indoors and outdoors. Clean, sweep, vacuum, wipe down areas quickly and thoroughly. Participate until the job is complete.
