Insider Tip: Order the Elk Meatloaf and pair it with the Breckenridge Avalanche Amber Ale. 8:00pm: Take a walk through town and check out the shops on Main Street. Stop at Mountain Top Cookie Shop for dessert.

DAY TWO 7:00am: Visit the Columbine Cafe for breakfast. Insider Tip: Order the Huevos Rancheros to start your day off right. 8:30am: Grab your gear and head to the Breckenridge gondola. Ride the free gondola from town up to Breckenridge Ski Resort’s Peak 7 or Peak 8. Insider Tip: If you haven’t purchased your ski pass for the week, stop at the gondola ticket office before heading up the hill. 9:00am: Arrive at the base of the ski area by 9:00am for your family’s group ski lesson. Meet your instructor before heading out on the mountain for a full day of instruction and fun! 4:00pm: Head “home” and rest up from your action-packed day by making dinner together in your rental. 8:00pm: Have the grandparents watch the kids back at the rental, and go grab a beer at the famous Gold Pan Saloon. They have the oldest operating liquor license west of the Mississippi!

DAY THREE 7:30am: To get moving, grab a quick breakfast burrito and coffee from Daylight Donuts. Insider Tip: Order a dozen donut holes to go – they’ll be a nice treat on the lift later! 8:30am: Gather your gear and grab the gondola or shuttle bus to the mountain. 9:00am: Drop the kids off for another day of ski school and head to your favorite Peak to test your skills from yesterday’s group lesson. 12:00pm: Break for some delicious on-mountain dining at Robbie’s Tavern, located right at the Base of Peak 8. Insider Tip: Order the Bliss Burger for a refreshing lunch. 1:30pm: After lunch, keep the fun going on the mountain with some more runs! Feeling tired? Head back to the rental for some downtime or a dip in the heated pool or hot tub, if you have access to one. 6:00pm: After cleaning up back at the rental, enjoy some dinner with the family at Modis. Insider Tip: Order the pork chop and wash it down with a glass of sangria. 8:00pm: Head over to Escape Room Breckenridge. (Make a reservation in advance!) In this live escape game, your group is locked in a room together and your objective is to solve riddles, uncover clues and crack codes in order to escape in time.

A fresh veggie egg wrap is a great choice: quick, easy and sustaining. 10:00am: Meet at Good Times Adventures for a fun-filled morning of dogsledding! Enjoy a tour of winding trails through the forest and learn how to run the sled and work with the amazing Siberian Huskies. 1:30pm: After your morning’s adventure, have lunch at Downstairs at Eric’s. Insider Tip: Be prepared with quarters so the kids can enjoy the game room while you sit back and relax! 3:00pm: Grab sleds from the front desk, if your rental has access to one, and head over to Carter Park for an afternoon of slipping and sliding down the hill – winter fun no matter your age! 7:00pm: After a long day of activities, this is a great night to enjoy a relaxing family meal back in your vacation rental home. Prepare a favorite dish or order up some takeout! 8:00pm: When everyone’s full, cuddle up on the couch for a family movie night! Insider Tip: Don’t forget to grab some popcorn and the fixin’s for s’mores!

Insider Tip: It’s the best spot to find a special souvenir. 3:00pm: While you’re perusing Main Street, you may as well enjoy a final après ski! What better place than Après Handcrafted Libations with over 30 craft beers on tap? 6:00pm: For a special last night out, enjoy dinner at The Breckenridge Distillery. Their small plates and family-style meals are designed for sharing with good company, and there’s an arcade for the kids too! DAY SEVEN 8:00am: It’s time to leave the mountains! Whip up whatever’s left in the rental for breakfast, and soak up a few more glimpses of those Rocky Mountain vistas. 10:00am: Load up the car, check out of your vacation rental and make your way to the airport.
