NEW BOYS BASKETBALL LEAGUE STARTING There will be a boys basketball league for 3rd6th graders starting in January 2018. The plan is to have two age groups, 3rd/4th combined, and 5th/6th combined. We will practice and play on Saturday afternoons, tentatively starting on January 13th and running for 5 consecutive weeks. The league will be organized by the high school coaching staff. More information is attached to today’s bulletin.

Newton Park’s Candy Graveyard Grab Newton Park 801 N. Michigan St. Lakeville, IN October 28th, 4:00-7:30pm
You don’t want to miss our Candy Graveyard Grab! Bring your little goblins to Newton Park on October 28th. Free Trick-or-Treat Bags availble while quantities last Scattered throughout our Candy Graveyard will be 10,000 candy-filled skulls for your little monsters to grab. Activities Include: Chili Taste-Off, Event-Long Costume Prizes, Candy-Filled Skull Grab, Family Trick-or-Treating at Donors’ Booths, Community Trunk-or-Treat Please don’t be late, the grab will start at 6:15pm sharp! Donations will be accepted so we can continue this event in the future! The Candy Graveyard will be separated by the following groups: 2 yrs old & under, Preschool-Kindergarten, 1st-3rd grade, 4th-6th grade.
Bremen Youth Basketball League The High School Boys’ and Girls’ basketball programs will be running a youth league this winter. We will practice and play on Saturday afternoons, and all games and practices will be held in the Bremen Middle or High school gyms. Our plan is to have 2 separate leagues: 3rd/4th Grade (Boys & Girls combined)
5th/6th Grade (Boys Only)
The league will run for 5 consecutive weeks, starting on Saturday January 13th and concluding on February 10th. The kids will be placed on teams, and each team will have a coach that will be with them for the entire season. Your child will practice with his or her team for approx. 45 mins prior to their game time each Saturday. The cost will be $20 per player. Please contact Matt Miller at [email protected] to register your child with the information needed (see form below), or with any questions you might have. You may also fill out the form below and return it to Mr. Andrews in the elementary school and he will get the forms to Coach Miller. Thank you and we hope your child can join us!

2017 Bremen Youth Wrestling Camp Dear Parents: The Bremen Wrestling coaching staff will be conducting a wrestling camp for boys in grades K 6th. Our goal is to teach the boys basic fundamentals of wrestling, sportsmanship, and to have fun. Boys should wear a t shirt, shorts, and a pair of wrestling/gym shoes. All practices will be conducted within the Lions Den which is located in the High School next to the main office. We will conduct 4 practices to be held on the following dates: Tuesday, November 7th 5:30 -6:45pm Thursday, November 9th 5:30 -6:45pm Tuesday, November 14th 5:30- 6:45pm Thursday, November 16th 5:30 -6:45pm We encourage parents to get involved in these practices and help teach the boys proper technique. Following our 4 practices, we will host an end of camp tournament on Sunday, November 19th at 1:00pm. During the tournament, we will conduct a brief practice to demonstrate what the boys have learned and then each boy will wrestle 2 matches against boys approximately their own weight and age. We will not keep score during these matches, and there will be no pins. T -shirts will be passed out after the tournament. Cost of the camp is $30.00, and includes a T -Shirt from the tournament. Checks can be made out to Bremen Wrestling Club and should be returned with the application to either the high school or your wrestler’s school office. We would prefer registration forms be turned in early, however, you may also bring your registration to the first practice on Tuesday, November 7th if you wish to sign up then. Race for Reading 5K & Fun Run Benefitting Marshall County Reading Council
Come support literacy in our community by running or walking in this benefit race (untimed). Monies collected will be used to: Support the Young Author’s Conference for local school kids to meet a real author. Provide books for our Books for Babies program which gives two free books to each newborn in Marshall County. First male & female to finish will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card.

Following our 4 practices, we will host an end of camp tournament on Sunday, November 19th at 1:00pm. During the tournament, we will conduct a brief practice to demonstrate what the boys have learned and then each boy will wrestle 2 matches against boys approximately their own weight and age. We will not keep score during these matches, and there will be no pins. T -shirts will be passed out after the tournament. Cost of the camp is $30.00, and includes a T -Shirt from the tournament. Checks can be made out to Bremen Wrestling Club and should be returned with the application to either the high school or your wrestler’s school office. We would prefer registration forms be turned in early, however, you may also bring your registration to the first practice on Tuesday, November 7th if you wish to sign up then. Race for Reading 5K & Fun Run Benefitting Marshall County Reading Council
Come support literacy in our community by running or walking in this benefit race (untimed). Monies collected will be used to: Support the Young Author’s Conference for local school kids to meet a real author. Provide books for our Books for Babies program which gives two free books to each newborn in Marshall County. First male & female to finish will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card.
