Foundation Stage go on their first mini-trip to Bridgeview Nature Trail
And we’re off on our adventure…
We arrived. It was a real forest, the trees were so tall!
Straight away we found some houses that we recognised from The Gruffalo.
Fox’s underground house
Owl’s treetop house
Snake’s logpile house
Then we made the most unusual discovery! What sort of eggs could these possibly be? They were quite beautiful, all blue and sparkly.
We saw some amazing creations hidden in the trees.
Where will this path lead?
Picnic time!
Someone must have been here before. Look at this amazing den we found!
And we found this wonderful construction. We decided it was a ‘bug-hotel’ and that all sorts of tiny creatures will stay there.
Which do you think this is, a Gruffalo hole or a Gruffalo trap? We couldn’t quite decide!
Tyler thought he’d spotted a snake near the log-pile house but when he checked it he found that it was just a branch! Never mind!
We saw so many amazing things and had the best time. Everyone was so full of chat about our mini-trip and couldn’t wait to share our news with our classes back at school. We wonder what the next group will find!
