BROEN LAB Chilled water systems

BROEN solutions for chilled water Standard processes in laboratories quite often require to be cooled by chilled water. Until now potable water has frequently been used for this purpose; however, it is an expensive and nonenvironmentally friendly solution. Therefore it is more and more common to install a separate supply and return of water for cooling purposes only. The system typically consists of a tank including a cooling unit, a pump and a double tube system with chilled water flow (WCF) and respectively chilled water return (WCR). Please refer to figure below for a typical installation.

BROEN LAB can supply all the typical point-of-use parts for such a system. Fume cupboard mounting: 1. Separate front control valve for WCF and, if necessary WCR, combined with wall outlet for WCF and WCR respectively:

2. Combined valve with single hand operation of WCF as well as WCR, again with two individual wall outlets:

Wall outlets are equipped with non-return valves to ensure simple operation for the user without unnecessary spillage of coolant media. Options with quick release couplings are also available. Panel mounting: 1. Straight valves:

2. 90° valves:

All above products are developed to ensure long lifetime of the components when used with this coolant media! BROEN recommends insulating all pipework, hoses, valves etc. in order to avoid condensation of water on the surface. Point-of-use valves for table mounting are available as well.
