History & Description Brooklands Lodge was constructed in 1851 as a residential dwelling which at one time boasted its own coach house and piggery and is believed to be one of the first private residences in the Brooklands area. The original proprietor arguably took inspiration from traditional Austrian style architecture so as to provide an elevated and unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside.
