Watch: GoNUxstream.com | Listen: WTBU (SportsWTBU.com) BEANPOT TUESDAY • The Boston University women’s ice hockey team will face off against Harvard in the consolation game of the 39th annual Women’s Beanpot on Tuesday night at Northeastern’s Matthews Arena. • Puck drop is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN • The Terriers and Crimson met in last year’s consolation contest at Walter Brown Arena. • BU held a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes, but the Crimson scored once in the middle frame and three more time in the third period to emerge victorious. • Maddie Elia tallied two goals and added an assist for three points. • Sammy Davis also lit the lamp, with Rebecca Leslie adding an assist. HOW WE GOT HERE • BU scored two goals in the second period to take a 2-1 lead over No. 6 Boston College, but the Eagles notched two goals of their own in the final frame to escape with a 3-2 win in the Beanpot opening round last Tuesday at Northeastern. • Junior Nina Rodgers and senior Maddie Elia

both scored power-play goals in a span of 2:17 in the second period to erase a 1-0 lead. • BC scored at 7:49 of the third to tie the game before notching the winner with 2:48 remaining in regulation. • Graduate student Mary Parker, junior Victoria Bach, sophomore Sammy Davis and senior Sarah Steele each had an assist. • Senior goaltender Victoria Hanson made 28 saves for BU. FACING HER FORMER TEAM AGAIN • For the second time this season, graduate student Mary Parker will be playing against her former team on Tuesday when the Terriers take the ice against the Crimson. • Parker graduated from Harvard last year after playing three full seasons and parts of last year. • She was terrific against the Crimson in the Terriers’ 4-3 overtime win at Harvard on Nov. 22, scoring two goals. • While at Harvard, she tallied 91 points (43g, 48a) in 104 career games. SERIES HISTORY • BU is 4-8-1 all-time against Harvard, though the Terriers are 0-3-0 against the 2016-17 leaders

Crimson at neutral sites. • Seven of those eight losses have come in the Beanpot. BEST OF BU IN THE BEANPOT • Graduate student Mary Parker enjoyed some Beanpot success with Harvard. She won the 2014 Beanpot and has tallied seven points (5g, 1a) in six Beanpot games, including a goal against the Terriers in 2014. • Parker added an assist last Tuesday to move her total to seven points (5g, 2a). • Senior Maddie Elia has recorded three goals and two assists for five points in the Beanpot. • Junior Rebecca Leslie has three assists, followed by senior co-captain Alexis Crossley’s two points (1g, 1a). • Junior Victoria Bach and sophomore Sammy Davis each have a goal and an assist apiece while seniors Sarah Steele and Samantha Sutherland have recorded one assist each. BEST OF BU AGAINST HARVARD • Victoria Bach leads all current Terriers with two goals and four assists for six points against the Crimson. • Maddie Elia is next best with four points thanks to two goals and two assists, while Savannah Newton notched three helpers in the November win. • Samantha Sutherland has tallied a goal
and an assist against the Crimson. • Nina Rodgers recorded two assists and former Crimson standout Mary Parker lit the lamp twice against Harvard earlier this year. • Sammy Davis lit the lamp last year while Rebecca Leslie had an assist in that game. • Leslie also added a goal in the 4-3 overtime win in November while Deziray De Sousa had an assist in that tilt. WHAT DID HARVARD TEACH YOU? • Harvard is winless in its last six games (0-4-2), though it most recently tied No. 3 Clarkson, 2-2, on Saturday a day after playing No. 5 St. Lawrence tough in a 2-1 loss. • Junior Lexie Laing leads the Crimson in points (14) and assists while senior Sydney Daniels has scored a team-high eight goals. • Three different netminders have started each of the last three games for Harvard, with senior Molly Tissenbaum (.918 Sv%, 2.78 GAA) playing in the Beanpot opener against Northeastern (4-1 L), senior Brianna Laing (.918 Sv%, 2.34 GAA) facing St. Lawrence and freshman Beth Larcomb (.916 Sv%, 2.83 GAA) making just her fifth career start against Clarkson.

2016-17 boston university Women’s ice hockey @BUwhockey IT’S BEEN ONE WEEK • BU had an entire week off after last Tuesday’s Beanpot loss. • The Terriers will be busy down the stretch, however, as after tonight they play a home-and-home with New Hampshire on Friday and Saturday, beginning that series on the road. • Tonight’s tilt is the final nonconference game of the season for BU until the playoffs. • Only four Hockey East games remain on the Terriers’ schedule, with the last three coming at home. FINALLY BOASTING A FULL LINEUP • Last Tuesday was the first time BU had its full complement of skaters available for any of its games in 2017. • The Terriers went 2-2-4 during that stretch, which began on Dec. 10. BACH KEEPS STREAK GOING • Junior Victoria Bach extended her point streak to four games with an assist last week against BC. • She leads the Terriers and is second in Hockey East with 37 points thanks to 17 goals and a team-best 20 assists. • Bach is first in Hockey East with an average of 1.37 points per game. • During her four-game point streak, Bach has recorded eight points (4g, 4a). ELIA ELECTRIC IN RETURN TO LINEUP • Senior Maddie Elia has been terrific since she returned to the Terrier lineup on Jan. 28 after a five-game absence. • She was strong in all three zones and used a terrific behind-the-back pass to set up Victoria Bach’s goal at Merrimack on the 28th before lighting the lamp against BC last Tuesday. • Elia has tallied eight goals and added 13 assists for 21 points this season. • She has reached the 20-point plateau in all but one season during her time as a Terrier.
PARKER PLAYING WELL • Graduate student Mary Parker has recorded at least one point in five of her last six games. • She had a four-game point streak (1g, 5a) snapped on Jan. 22, but resumed her scoring ways last Tuesday against BC with an assist. • Parker is second on the squad with 33 points (18g, 15a) and her 18 markers lead the Terriers. RODGERS ON A ROLL, TOO • Junior Nina Rodgers has notched a point in three of her last four games. • Her best game came on Jan. 22 against Providence when she scored two goals, including the game-winner. • Rodgers also lit the lamp last week against Boston College and added an assist against the Friars on Jan. 21. • She enters tonight’s tilt with new career highs in goals (9), assists (14) and points (23).

CAN’T KEEP BU OFF THE BOARD • BU is one of six teams in the nation to have never been shut out this season. • The Terriers were only shut out once last season, a 5-0 loss to No. 1 Boston College in the Hockey East title game. • They have not been held scoreless in a regular-season game since Feb. 19, 2015, when they lost 5-0 to BC.

NEARING ANOTHER MILESTONE • Brian Durocher is nearing his 250th win as head coach of the Terriers. • He enters Tuesday with 244 career wins, all of which have come at BU. • Durocher earned win 200 on Jan. 31, 2015. • If he gets seven more wins, he will have reached 20 wins for the seventh straight season.
MACK ATTACK SETS BU BACK • BU suffered a 4-1 setback at Merrimack on Saturday night. • Junior Victoria Bach notched the Terriers’ lone goal with assists from seniors Maddie Elia and Samantha Sutherland. • Bach’s goal brought BU back to level terms at 1-1, but two goals just 10 seconds apart in the second stanza put Merrimack ahead for good. • Senior goaltender Victoria Hanson made 28 saves for the Terriers. • BU outshot Merrimack, 37-32.
LESLIE REACHES THE CENTURY MARK • Junior Rebecca Leslie became the 11th Terrier to score 100 points at BU with her pair of assists on Jan. 22 against Providence. • She scored the game’s opening goal for point 99, then had the primary helper on the next goal to reach 100. • Leslie entered the weekend with 96 points but had two goals on Saturday in her first game since Dec. 9. • Leslie has tallied 37 goals and 63 assists for 100 points in just 95 games. • Classmate Victoria Bach is now at 119
FIRST WIN OF 2017 • BU had earned four ties in five January games prior to its 5-2 victory over Providence at Walter Brown Arena on Jan. 22. • Junior Victoria Bach secured three assists and classmate Nina Rodgers added two goals. • Freshman Abby Cook and junior Rebecca Leslie each had a goal and an assist for two-point days. • Redshirt sophomore Anna Streifel scored the first goal of her collegiate career and senior Samantha Sutherland

RECAPPING A WILD SATURDAY • BU and Providence skated to a thrilling 5-5 tie on Jan. 21 at Schneider Arena. • Junior Victoria Bach recorded a hat trick and classmate Rebecca Leslie added two goals, including the game-tying goal with 2:32 remaining in regulation. • The Terriers led 4-1 late in the second period, but the Friars scored four straight goals to take a 5-4 lead with 4:57 to play. • Senior co-captain Alexis Crossley collected a career-high four assists for a career-best four points on Saturday. • Graduate student Mary Parker had two helpers while sophomore Connor Galway, juniors Savannah Newton and Nina Rodgers, and senior Samantha Sutherland all added an assist apiece. • Senior goaltender Victoria Hanson made 41 saves for the Terriers. STREIFEL SCORES FIRST GOAL • Redshirt sophomore Anna Streifel scored her first collegiate goal on Jan. 22 in the Terriers’ 5-2 win over Providence. • Her goal gave BU a 2-0 lead in the first period. • It was Streifel’s first-ever shot on goal. EVERYBODY HAS A POINT! • After Anna Streifel’s first collegiate goal, every Terrier that has skated this season now has at least one point, with all but Streifel having tallied at least two points. • Every Terrier forward has collected a goal, while two BU skaters in total have not yet lit the lamp this season. HECK OF A WEEKEND FOR BACH • Junior Victoria Bach was sensational for the Terriers on Jan. 21 and 22 against Providence, scoring a hat trick on the 21st and then following that with three assists the next day. • Bach is now has two hat tricks this season; she also accomplished that feat on Nov. 11 at Maine. • Bach’s three assists also matched a career high; she also had a trio of helpers against Vermont on Feb. 27, 2015, in a WHEA quarterfinal contest.
HATS OFF TO THE TERRIERS • With Victoria Bach’s hat trick on Jan. 21, the Terriers joined top-ranked Wisconsin with five hat tricks this season, the most in the country. • Senior Samantha Sutherland, junior Rebecca Leslie and graduate student Mary Parker also have three-goal games to their credit this season. • Sutherland’s hat trick on Sept. 25 was the first in all of Division I college hockey this season. COOKIN’ WITH ABBY • Freshman Abby Cook collected the first multi-point game of her career on Jan. 22 against Providence. • She assisted on Nina Rodgers’ thirdperiod goal that gave BU a 4-2 lead, then added an empty-netter later in that frame. • Cook has three goals and seven assists for 10 points and leads all Hockey East rookie defensemen in plus/ minus (+11).

BIG GAME FOR RODGERS • Junior Nina Rodgers recorded her first two-goal game as a Terrier on Jan. 22 in the 5-2 win against Providence. • She scored the eventual game-winner in the second period and added an insurance goal in the final frame. • Her previous two-goal effort came while she was with Minnesota; Rodgers tallied twice against St. Cloud State on Dec. 5, 2014.

CAREER DAY FOR CROSSLEY • Senior co-captain Alexis Crossley collected a career-high four assists on Jan. 21 at Providence. • Crossley’s four points are also a career best. • She had previously had three points on two occasions, most recently in the 2016 Hockey East semifinals against Northeastern. • Her previous single-game best for assists was two, done five times, most recently at Boston College on Nov. 5, 2016. • She enters Tuesday with 15 points on one goal and 14 assists.
