BU IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT • The Terriers are in the NCAA tournament for the 15th time in their 66-year history as a varsity program ... 31st-year head coach Neil Roberts has been at the helm for 14 of the trips and was an assistant in 1980 for BU’s first-ever appearance. • BU has made four trips in the past 11 years with the last one occurring in 2008 when the Terriers captured the America East tournament crown. • This will be the BU’s first NCAA trip as a Patriot League member after falling one point short of repeating as the PL regular season champions. • BU is 6-14-1 all-time in the NCAAs, having advanced past the opening round in 1985, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1994 and 2008. • The Terriers made their first appearance at UConn in 1980 ... BU-UCONN SERIES HISTORY • UConn leads 31-12-3 in series dating back to 1951. • The Huskies are 2-1-2 in the last five meetings since 2008 with BU posting a 3-0 win at then-No. 12 UConn in 2009 ... HEAD COACH NEIL ROBERTS • Roberts has been recognized as the conference coach of the year eight times in his career with one in the Patriot League and seven honors in the America East (1988-2012) ... Five-time NSCAA New England Coach of the Year. • A two-year starter and 1979 graduate of Southern Connecticut State ... BU IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT • The Terriers are in the NCAA tournament for the 15th time in their 66-year history as a varsity program ... 31st-year head coach Neil Roberts has been at the helm for 14 of the trips and was an assistant in 1980 for BU’s first-ever appearance. • BU has made four trips in the past 11 years with the last one occurring in 2008 when the Terriers captured the America East tournament crown. • This will be the BU’s first NCAA trip as a Patriot League member after falling one point short of repeating as the PL regular season champions. • BU is 6-14-1 all-time in the NCAAs, having advanced past the opening round in 1985, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1994 and 2008. • The Terriers made their first appearance at UConn in 1980 ...
