CHILDREN’S CHURCH for ages 4—Pre K is held in the Fellowship Hall classroom. K—Grade 5 is located upstairs in Room 201. They will be dismissed following Praise & Worship.

Welcome to Worship With pleasure we greet and welcome all who have gathered for this time of worship. If at any time you have a question or need assistance; we hope you will find one of our friendly and helpful Greeters . They will be happy to assist you.
First –Time Guest If this is your first time at Kentwood Heights Baptist Church, we hope you enjoy your experience with us today.
Please Fill out a Kentwood Response card found in the chair back and place it in the offering basket. If you have children, we offer exciting and safe programs for each age group: Nursery, Pre-K in room 108, and Children’s Church in room 201, going on now. Please feel free to join us. Please don’t feel obligated to participate in the offering. The offering is for members and regular attendees who consider Kentwood their home.

Interested in joining the Kentwood family, or wanting to know more about who we are and what we value? The quarterly membership class will be offered on January 20th in the evening, and generally lasts an hour and a half. If interested, turn in a response card indicating your interest.

There is nothing quite like a hot meal and time around the table! Please join us this evening at 6pm. Also, please be in prayer that our friends will feel God’s love through us.
Snacks are being collected for the Quinton fire station on the second Sunday of the month. Please drop your donations off in room 110 , “the rainbow room.” For more information speak with Carolyn Dooley.

Admit to God that you are a sinner. All persons need salvation. Each of us has a problem the Bible calls sin. Sin is a refusal to acknowledge God’s authority over our lives. Everyone who does not live a life of perfect obedience to the Lord is guilty of sin. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Since none of us is perfect, all of us are sinners (Rom. 3:10-18). The result of sin is spiritual death (Rom. 6:23). Spiritual death means eternal separation from God. By God’s perfect standard we are guilty of sin and therefore subject to the punishment for sin, which is separation from God. Admitting that you are a sinner and separated from God is the first step of repentance, which is turning from sin and self and turning toward God.
BELIEVE Believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son and receive Jesus’ gift of forgiveness from sin. God loves each of us. God offers us salvation. Although we have done nothing to deserve His love and salvation, God wants to save us. In the death of Jesus on the cross, God provided salvation for all who would repent of their sins and believe in Jesus. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

a residential rehab program for local people struggling with addiction. They also serve the homeless population, 70% men and 30% women. This ministry is in need of the following: blankets, coats, socks, and boxer shorts. Items can be donated at Safari Coffee next to Food Lion or given to Aubrey Bailey. For more information, contact Aubrey @ 804-929-3271.
Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to others. After you have received Jesus Christ into your life, share your decision with another person. Tell your pastor or a Christian friend about your decision. Following Christ’s example, ask for baptism by immersion in church as a public expression of your faith. “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” (Rom. 10:9-10).
