S3S - Three-Stage Boiler Control Overview The S3S is a Three-Stage Boiler Control which can stage up to three boilers using PID logic for better control of the system temperature. The S3S will enable just enough stages to maintain either a fixed or an outdoor reset set point. The S3S has multiple uses including: Staging three Triangle Tube Boilers to maintain the desired set point for either heating or domestic applications. Staging between multiple sources of heat such as Solar, Geothermal Systems and a Triangle Tube Boiler.
Features •
Stage 3 Triangle Tube Boilers The S3S can be configured to stage up to three Triangle Tube Boilers to maintain the desired system set point.

Fixed Lead Stage or Automatic Rotation The S3S can be configured to always start with the same stage or automatically rotate the lead stage to equalize runtimes.
•
Stage 2 Triangle Tube Boilers with a System Pump The S3S can also be configured to stage up to two Triangle Tube Boilers and operate the System Pump.
•
External Enable The S3S can be remotely enabled from an external device or controller.
•
System Pump Run-On The S3S can be configured to provide the System Pump with an additional Run-On time to disburse heat from the boilers.
•
Sensor Fault Operation The S3S provides the option of switching on or off all stages if a sensor fault should occur.
•
Fixed Set Point or Outdoor Reset The S3S can stage up to three boilers to maintain either a fixed set point or operate using the outdoor reset function. The outdoor reset function utilizes fixed reset curves as well as providing the option for custom user defined heating curves.

Digital Display Large 2 x 16 character display provides status information as well as easy parameter adjustments in plain English.
•
English or Metric Units The S3S can be configured to operate using either English or Metric units.

Mounting Options The S3S can be mounted on a standard 4” x 4” electrical box or can be panel mounted using the included plastic wiring enclosure.

Outdoor Cutoff The optional Outdoor Cutoff function can disable the system when the outdoor temperature rises and heat is no longer required.
