Business Breakfast Talk Speakers’ Profiles HAN SWEE PENG Swee Peng came on board on 1 October 2007 as a Tax Director to oversee our firm’s tax training needs. Prior to joining RSM Chio Lim LLP, she was an Accredited Senior Tax Specialist from the Tax Policy & Ruling Branch of the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and has 20 years of working experience with IRAS. Swee Peng has handled policy issues relating to the insurance industry, Global Traders Programme, Group Relief System, and was involved in the development of tax changes such as the Loss Carry Back Relief System, Deduction for Treasury Shares transferred under the Employee Equity-based Remuneration Scheme and Tax Exemption Scheme for Approved Captive Insurers. She was also one of the trainers in IRAS for both the In-depth Training Course and Advanced Course

on Income Tax, with many years of personal and corporate tax assessment experience.

JESSIE KOH Jessie is a Director of Stone Forest Corporate Advisory, the corporate advisory arm of RSM Chio Lim LLP. She is responsible for projects involving working capital advisory, profit improvement, mergers and acquisitions, and fund-raising. She works closely with entrepreneurs and advises them on their growth and fund raising strategies either through initial public offering or borrowings from financial institutions. She also works with troubled companies to find new working capital for business growth and also restructure their banking facilities. Prior to joining the firm, she was a financial controller in a Singapore listed company in charge of the finance and treasury functions. She has also held various accounting and internal audit positions in the manufacturing, trading and financial industries.

EU CHIEN SIEN Chin Sien heads the GST unit of the firm’s Tax Division. She has acquired a wealth of knowledge as a GST regulator and advisor, and is well positioned to provide practical guidance to businesses on the GST treatment and application on complex business transactions. Prior to joining RSM Chio Lim LLP, Chin Sien was a Senior Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers Services Pte Ltd (PwC) where she specialised in GST for almost 9 years. At PwC, Chin Sien offered full spectrum of GST services to assist businesses in varied industries to meet their needs. These comprise advising clients on GST and their business transactions, including issues arising from cross border transactions and new business arrangements. Her key achievements included the successful recovery of GST in excess of S$1 million for clients. She also conducted GST workshops and spoke at public seminars on GST. Chin Sien spent more than 4 years at the IRAS upon her graduation. At the IRAS, Chin Sien was a Senior Tax Auditor where she led a team in conducting extensive GST audits of varied industries.
