We will provide the supportive services they need to do that. “When Geer Village was planned, a group of community elders got together and fulfilled their idea of not separating elders from others in the town,” she continued. “This facility is not part of a chain of facilities—I have worked for large corporations and it is nice when the facility is not a ‘cookie-cutter’ model and you can work for your population. When you walk into Geer, you can feel its personality. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to come here.” Those who choose to move to Geer Village pay a range of prices for the services it offers. They sign one-year leases that can be easily broken if situations change and pay about $2,500 to $7,000 a month to cover their apartments, which range from studio apartments to two bedroom units, and all other independent living and assisted living expenses.
